Karim Benzema talks up Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid AGAIN as he insists every great player wants to play for the club – and admits it would be ‘ideal’ for the PSG star who has ‘got everything’ to sign for them this summer

  • Karim Benzema has again waded into discussion on Kylian Mbappe’s future
  • The 33-year-old is keen for his French teammate to join him at Real Madrid
  • Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain with a year left on deal
  • PSG hopeful new contract can be agreed but may be forced to sell 22-year-old

Karim Benzema has once again talked up the potential of Kylian Mbappe making a move to join him at Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old is entering the last year of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, and is yet to agree a new deal in France as the situation becomes increasingly perilous for his current club.

The PSG hierarchy won’t be thrilled to see Benzema pushing his French team-mate towards a move to Madrid, who have long been interested in securing the services of one of the most talented youngsters in the game.

‘If he could come to Madrid, that would be ideal,’ Benzema said according to BFMTV.

‘All the great players want to come to Real Madrid one day so I hope that will be done quickly, that’s if he wants to leave PSG who are also a good team.’

Benzema, who only recently returned to the French national side, described Mbappe as a player who ‘knows how to do everything.’

Earlier this week, the Madrid forward again speculated that the uncertainty around Mbappe’s future could result in a move to Spain.

The 33-year-old was in stunning form for his club last season as he scored 30 goals in all competitions, and it seems he has no concerns about potentially being being aside should Madrid make a huge-money move this summer.

‘I don’t know what will happen, but Mbappe would be welcome at Real Madrid,’ Benzema said in an interview with M6info, as reported by Marca.

‘He is a player who has all the qualities to be a player of Madrid in the future, I hope so.

He hailed Mbappe’s ability, but refused to be drawn into comparisons between the 22-year-old and himself.

‘I don’t like to compare. He is still a young player, a phenomenon,’ Benzema said.

‘I have already been able to train alongside him, we play with one touch, he has movements, puts a lot of speed and has skill in the face of goal. He’s a very, very good player.’
