Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s Mexican nuptials clashed with another glamorous wedding

Karl Stefanovic, 44 and Jasmine Yarbrough’s Mexican nuptials was one of the most talked about celebrity events of the year.

But the date of the couple’s big day clashed with another glamorous wedding that took place last weekend.

On Friday, just a day before the Today host wedded the shoe designer, PR queen Montarna McDonald, 28, tied the knot with her lawyer beau Nick Pittas.

The special occasion was held in an intimate ceremony at Redleaf Wollombi, just a short drive from the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.

On Saturday, Karl and Jasmine, 34, exchanged vows at the One&Only Palmilla resort in Los Cabos – a luxurious destination in Mexico that overlooks the Sea of Cortez.

According to The Sunday Telegraph Confidential, guests were torn in deciding which wedding to attend, given the unfortunate clash.

Caroline Tran, the fashion editor for Harpers Bazaar, along with Nadia Fairfax were reportedly invited to both nuptials – but ultimately decided to attend their good friend Montarna’s big day. 

Tamie Ingham, who is the co-founder of Mara & Mine was also reportedly invited to both events but chose to watch her business partner walk down the aisle along with her mother Mary and sister Katie.

However, Tamie’s brother chose to attend Montarna and Nick’s wedding, having earned the title of groomsman.

On the day, Jasmine broke tradition by putting on a leggy display – opting for a high-low gown that featured a short, detachable skirt at the front and a flowing lace train at the back. 

The soft blush-coloured bespoke gown also featured a plunging neckline that revealed a hint of the bride’s cleavage.

The dress, designed by Australian bridal designer Jessica Andreatta, took 6 months to create.

Meanwhile, Montarna wore a plunging gown that also featured a dramatic train.

The gown was designed by Inbal Dror and is said to be worth $17,000.

Unusual: At Jasmine and Karl’s nuptials, bowls of Burger Rings were offered around the venue for canapés as the reception featured a ‘Bundy Bar’ with guests offered the couple’s custom ‘JK Blend’ of Bundaberg Rum and coke

And at both events, hungry guests were treated to unusual snacks. At Jasmine and Karl’s nuptials, bowls of Burger Rings were offered around the venue for canapés, in honour of Jasmine’s obsession with the humble chips.

The bar was stocked with the couple’s favourite party tipple, Bundaberg Rum.

The smitten pair share a love of Bundaberg Rum and coke, and decided the reception would feature a ‘Bundy Bar’ with guests offered the couple’s custom ‘JK Blend’.

Meanwhile, Montarna and Nick’s hashtag was ‘#LoveYouToPitts,’ a play on words in relation to their now shared surname – Pittas.
