Fairfax alleged on Saturday that Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough ‘aren’t confirming their engagement’ as they’ve ‘sold the rights to the story’.
And the speculation has continued with reports in Monday’s New Idea, that the pair celebrated in private, with just close family and friends.
Sources were claimed to have told the publication that the ‘engaged’ couple threw a ‘nine-hour party’ at Peter Stefanovic’s Double Bay mansion in Sydney.
‘They threw a nine-hour party for close family and friends’: Karl Stefanovic, 43, and Jasmine Yarbrough, 33, are claimed to have celebrated their ‘engagement’ in private, after reports couple have ‘struck a media deal and sold the rights to the story’
New Idea alleged that ‘well-wishers and partygoers were heard cheering, applauding and offering congratulations during the nine-hour party on January 20’, held at brother Peter Stefanovic’s luxury abode.
The lavish bash is said to have occurred after ‘Karl, 43, got down on bended knee on January 14, asking Jasmine to marry him in a romantic proposal, before returning to Australia on January 19’.
It’s also been claimed that Jasmine, 33, went to ‘extreme lengths’ to hide her sparkling engagement ring from view.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Karl and Jasmine for comment.

New Idea’s reports come just days after Fairfax’s Andrew Hornery suggested that Karl and Jasmine have kept quiet on the engagement due to a ‘media deal’.
Saturday saw the journalist claim in his PS column, that ‘the couple have struck a media deal and intend to make a “big splash” with the news in the very near future’.
In the same column last week, Andrew claimed the couple’s ‘wide circle of friends’ received text messages that visually confirmed their engagement.
Claims: The event is said to have occurred after ‘Karl got down on bended knee on January 14, asking Jasmine to marry him in a romantic proposal, before returning to Australia on January 19’
He added on Saturday: ‘In recent days, Karl has confided to family members that he and Jasmine intend to get married sometime in 2018.
‘But the television host won’t confirm if he actually become engaged.’
If true, it implies the Today star is being extra careful not to ruin his alleged ‘media deal’, with even his nearest-and-dearest left out of the loop.

Karl and Jasmine have been at the centre of engagement rumours since their first red carpet appearance together last October.
And the speculation has not quietened down, with a ‘source’ alleging to The Daily Telegraph last week that the Today show co-host had proposed on vacation.
However a representative for Karl was quick to silence the claims, telling the publication on Friday: ‘It is not true.’
Karl split from his wife of 21 years, journalist Cassandra Thorburn, 46, in September 2016, before meeting Jasmine at a boat party just months later in December.
The former couple share three children together, daughter Ava, and sons Jackson and River.
