While a slew of high profile media personalities including Today’s Sylvia Jeffreys were spotted at the event, Lisa decided to spend her evening at the cinema with her daughter Billi and Billi’s boyfriend Ollie.
Billi took to Instagram that night with a picture of the trio enjoying their outing, alongside the caption: ‘Best Saturday night’s are at the movies.’

A representative has since confirmed: ‘Karl didn’t attend Lisa’s vow renewals as he is on annual leave overseas.’
Meanwhile, speculation has been growing that Lisa was unhappy about carrying Today amid the controversy surrounding Karl’s recent split from wife Cassandra Thorburn – who Lisa has known for over a decade.
According to media commentator Peter Ford, Lisa was the glue that held the Today show together when Karl became ‘a turn off’ for female viewers.

Earlier this week, Lisa quit Today after Channel Nine were unable to match her salary to that of co-star Karl, who is believed to be earning close to $3 million a year.
Karl addressed his former co-host’s sudden departure with a rather odd tribute, crediting the veteran journalist with her ability to perform housework before coming to work.
