Karl Stefanovic shocks fans as he strips down in ‘disturbing’ video alongside Abbie Chatfield’s boyfriend Adam Hyde: ‘Just dropped to my knees in Aldi!’

Karl Stefanovic has whipped his fans into a frenzy by sharing a hilarious clip of him stripping down as he danced alongside Abbie Chatfield’s boyfriend Adam Hyde.

The Today show host, 50, posted the jaw-dropping clip to Instagram on Tuesday, which captured Karl and Peking Duk frontman Adam Hyde performing a racy dance.

In the very unexpected clip, the pair wore ripped open shirts and black pants as they flexed their muscular bodies while Islands in the Stream played in the background.

Karl looked to be having the time of his life in the side-splitting footage as he wore heavy eyeliner and suggestively flexed his midriff while singing along to the Dolly Parton classic in a unique cover.

The unlikely duo showed off their humorous nature as they busted out their dance moves for the 80s-style music video, which was complete with neon heart lighting.

Karl’s celebrity friends and fans took to the comments to share their shocked reactions to the hysterical video, joking that their cover would ‘single-handedly revive Australian music’.

‘Yessssss team,’ wrote Karl’s sister-in-law Jade Yarbrough while DJ Benson added: ‘Just dropped to my knees in Aldi’.

Abbie Chatfield chipped in: ‘I love you oiled up in a silk shirt,’ prompting fans to joke that she was referring to Karl, rather than her boyfriend Adam.

One fan labelled the video ‘disturbing but interesting’ while another quipped: ‘What is going on?? I feel like I’ve just woken up from a bender at 3am with rage playing hilariously bad 80s videos.’

A third joked: Ladies, be careful with this video – views can lead to pregnancy,’ while a fourth commented: ‘Why did I watch that 4 times ? Hahaha GOLD.’

A fifth gushed: ‘Surely a Triple J top 100 contender,’ and another added: ‘This will single handedly revive Aus music I’m telling ya!’

Sharing the footage to Instagram, singer Adam revealed how their very unexpected collaboration came about, sharing that Karl had been the one to suggest the idea.

Replying to a video of Adam singing, Karl – who is married to Jasmine Yarbrough – had told the musician: ‘I’m prepared to do a duet with you.’

Karl then revealed that he wanted ‘full eye make-up’ for the track and suggested they cover Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears.

After fans voted on which song they should cover, Adam then hilariously sent Adam an array of audio files of himself belting out the classic.

Alongside the files, he penned: ‘Get ready to laugh, bro it’s not getting better. That’s the best I got. Hahaha. Jesus Christ,’ as he proved he was always up for a laugh.

Their hilarious duet comes after The Bachelor star Abbie went public with Adam earlier this year and the pair have been going strong ever since.

She frequently shares loved-up pictures and tributes to him on social media, while he has also featured on her It’s A Lot podcast to discuss their romance.

In recent weeks, Abbie, 29, stood up for her new man, amid concerns from fans that he’s ‘using her’ for fame.

The FBoy Island host told Stellar Magazine that she’s in the best relationship she’s ever had and has no fears that she may be being used.

‘It isn’t like other people I’ve had flings with. And this is gonna sound a bit w**ky, but he’s had a bigger career than me’ she told Stellar Magazine.

‘I don’t think he’s using me for anything. He’s successful in his own right. I think I’m cool for being with him, not the other way around’.

Abbie added that she has known Adam for two years and that they were friends before they started dating, which has added to the trust between them.

‘I guess with Adam it’s different, because I trust the strength of our relationship. But also, us hanging out isn’t a big, new thing. We’ve been hanging out publicly for years,’ she said.
