Karl Stefanovic appears set to cancel his planned 50th birthday bash in Paris.
The Today host, 49, intended to celebrate his half century while in France for the Olympic Games this year.
But according to a source who spoke to Woman’s Day, a scheduling issue means Karl will be back in Australia earlier than first expected.
The insider claimed Karl, who famously loves a party, might prefer something ‘low-key’ after the lavish birthday party he threw for his wife Jasmine in February.
‘He’s secretly relieved that the party might be cancelled,’ the source said.

Karl spared no expense when it came to his Jasmine’s birthday celebrations in Noosa earlier this year.
The breakfast show host was said to have dropped a whopping $50,000 on a lavish event, Woman’s Day reported at the time.

The stunning frock featured soft pastel hues along its twisted, knotted and draped silhouette.
Karl’s 18-year-old daughter Willow, who was studying in London and working at a Zimmermann store, reportedly helped Jasmine pick the dress out.

Touted by close friends as ‘the party to end all parties’, Karl went so far as to hire wedding event planners to organise the two-day long party.
After celebrating the life of Jasmine at Bistro C, Karl continued to spoil his love and kept the party going back at their $7million Sunshine Coast mansion where he had DJs, drummers and a Mexican food truck waiting.

The party reportedly lasted for about two days, with a ‘recovery shindig’ taking place which was allegedly worth $10,000.
A close friend of the lovebirds said ‘Karl is an old romantic’ and was more than happy to treat his wife to a lavish party as thanks for giving him ‘so much happiness and a whole new lease on life’.
Guests in attendance included the likes of Richard Wilkins, Sarah Abo, Sylvia Jeffreys, Pete Stefanovic, Belinda Russell, Grant Kenny, and Anthony Bell.
