Kate Hudson shares sweet birthday tribute to fiancé Danny Fujikawa on his 37th birthday

Kate Hudson penned a heartfelt birthday tribute to her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, who she first began dating in late 2016, on his 37th birthday.

On Saturday afternoon, the 44-year-old actress gushed about her husband-to-be, who she called ‘the most loving, pure, honest, sensitive, brilliant, [and] caring man.’

‘Happiest birthday to my love, my partner, my man! I’m so grateful we shacked up together, had a baby and decided to be married…when we have time to plan it,’ she captioned a slideshow of pictures and videos throughout their relationship.

She continued: ‘People wonder what makes love last…I wonder too!’

The mother-of-three, then, urged her more than 17.1 Instagram followers to ‘find someone to get weird with.’

While referencing a footage of her and the musician, which showed them goofing around as they made music together, the mother-of-three joked that the video was just ‘what happens in our house when there’s day drinking involved.’

The Oscar nominee concluded: ‘love you madly @fujikawadanny HAPPY BIRTHDAY.’

Her post included a snap of her partner giving their daughter Rani Rose, three, a kiss on the cheek as well as a family dinner at a sushi restaurant as well as her two youngest children picking up a Christmas tree.

Her comment section was flooded with sweet notes from fans and her celebrity pals, including Chelsea Handler, Leslie Mann and Leslie Odom Jr.

‘I love your love, baby!’ the 48-year-old Chelsea Lately alum wrote under Hudson’s post.

In February, the How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days star admitted that their wedding is still in the planning stages.

‘Right now, planning a wedding feels insane, but I’m excited to plan a wedding, and I go back and forth between a small wedding and a large wedding,’ the performer said.

The Fabletics spokesperson was previously married to the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, 56 from 2000 to 2007.

‘So there’s a part of me that wants the big bash, you know?’ she said. ‘There’s, like, two sides to me: the big bash or the small, intimate wedding. I think somewhere in there I’m going to come up with both.’

‘It’ll totally be a destination wedding,’ the mom of three said. ‘It’ll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you’ll be there.’

‘If someone’s like, “I can’t really be there,” then I don’t want you there. That’s all I got right now. That’s all I got for the wedding,’ she joked.

And then, sometimes she thinks a traditional Japanese ceremony is the way to go. That wedding would honor the heritage of Danny, 36, and their daughter.

‘We do sometimes go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and quite emotional for Danny, seeing as his dad is gone,’ she said.

But the Bride Wars star is sure if friends and family want to see her get married, they will have to travel – whether that wedding is big or small, Japanese or traditional.

And she has nothing but high praise for her fiancé.

She called him “handsome” and “the best” and gushed over how happy she was with the ring he proposed with.

‘I love my ring. I really wanted a flat stone, and he really delivered,’ she said.

And Kate understands her life – and her family – are a bit unconventional and she embraces it.

She has three kids with three different fathers and says it the co-parenting manages to work because she practices what she calls compassionate detachment.

She shares son Ryder, 19, with ex-husband Robinson and son Bingham, 11, with singer Matt Bellamy, who she dated from from 2011 to 2014.

‘It doesn’t make any sense. It goes against every religious grain in the book. And yet, I’m happy, and my kids are happy,’ she said, adding ‘It feels liberated. I don’t feel the failure.’

‘Whatever is causing the head butting and this inability to move forward, I’m going to stay compassionate towards the partner,’ she said about her exes.

Hudson added that her kids are her priority while juggling their multiple fathers.

‘For me, it’s all about my unit, and those are my babies, and I’m the center,’ the Almost Famous star said.
