Prince William and Kate Middleton will take their three children skiing following their Christmas spent with the Queen at Sandringham, a royal insider has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 37, along with children George, six, Charlotte, four, and Louis, one, will be at the Queen’s Norfolk residence for the festive season this year.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, 35, and wife Meghan, 38, who are currently on a six-week break from royal duties, will be spending it with the duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, and their son Archie, at an undisclosed location abroad.

‘The Cambridges want to head out skiing early in the new year with the children,’ said the insider, speaking to The Sun.

‘Also in attendance is expected to be Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who will babysit back in the ski chalet.’

And it seems the Duchess of Cambridge is getting prepared ahead of a busy festive period – and has already been shopping for the perfect ski slope attire.

‘Kate has been checking out ski outfits for her trio,’ the source explained.

‘Prince George and Princess Charlotte might be sporting Jack Wolfskin £100 jackets with fold out chin guards and also Finnish designer Reima’s well insulated and light-as-a-feather Roxane ski jackets at £125, which are stocked by Snow & Rock.

‘These are firm favourite with Kate.’

The insider also went on say that following Charlotte and George’s Christmas Day church debut on December 25, the Cambridge’s will then travel to Kate’s parent’s home in West Berkshire on Boxing day.

There, they are expected to celebrate James Middleton’s October engagement to Alize Thevenet and discuss wedding plans.

In 2016, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Princess Charlotte, then 10 months and Prince George, then two, enjoyed a short private break skiing in the French Alps, France.

They also attended an event in Tryvann, Oslo, Norway, organised by the Norwegian Ski Federation in February 2018, where they saw a group of local nursery children taking part in an afternoon ski school session on the slopes.

The couple also enjoyed a number of ski holidays together before they were married.
