Kate Moss’s very louche 30th birthday party had the theme ‘Beautiful and the Damned’ and is rumoured to have ended in an orgy at Claridge’s hotel in Mayfair, while her 40th was an epic, four-day Glastonbury-themed bash at her country home in the Cotswolds.
To mark her next milestone birthday, the supermodel and her closest friends had a very ‘grown up’ celebration somewhere warmer.
I hear that Moss, who turned 50 on Tuesday, enjoyed a pre-birthday holiday in Mustique, the playground of the rich and famous in the West Indies.
She was joined by her daughter, Lila, 21, who’s followed her footsteps into modelling, and by friends including Sadie Frost, her fellow former member of the Primrose Hill set known for their hedonistic antics in the 1990s.
Others on the trip were Rosemary Ferguson, the model-turned-nutritionist, fashion stylist Katy England, floral designer Flora Starkey, fashion casting director Jess Shallet and designer Jess Morris.
Kate Moss appears to have ditched her ‘party girl’ image once and for all, after celebrating her 50th birthday on a booze-free ‘spiritual’ retreat on the private island of Mustique

Moss, who launched her ‘wellness’ brand Cosmoss, in 2022, was dressed as a ‘spiritual warrior’ in one holiday snap that Frost, 58, shared online.
The birthday girl could be seen wearing a floral crown and a garland of flowers round her neck as she sat in the sand among her circle of friends on the beach.
‘All grown up darling Kate,’ Frost writes, describing her friend as a ‘spiritual warrior’.
She says: ‘It was so, so special celebrating your pre-birthday with some of our beautiful friends…there was so much fun and laughter amongst our celebratory circle.
‘Plus so many memories I will never forget. P.S. It was so nice to get some recent photos of us all.’
Mustique has been beloved by the jet-set since Lord Glenconner bought it in the 1960s and gave Princess Margaret a ten-acre plot as a wedding present.
The tiny private island is a favourite of the Prince and Princess of Wales and home to rock stars Sir Mick Jagger and Bryan Adams, as well as U.S. fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Kate is now said to embrace being tee-total 80 per cent of the time, going to the gym and starting yoga sessions.

During the 1990s, Kate was a fixture on the party scene and was part of the famous Primrose Hill set that were regularly seen living it up in London
Arriving on the modelling scene after being discovered at the tender age of 14, Kate rose to fame in the mid 1990s.
Her collaborations with Calvin Klein launched her as a household name and in 2013, she was honoured at the British Fashion Awards to acknowledge her contribution to the fashion industry over the course of 25 years.
Previously describing her happy place as on the dancefloor, Kate has since left London for the west Oxfordshire countryside where she practices transcendental meditation and goes wild swimming in a ‘secret place’ only the local villagers use.
The fashion icon also believes in the power of positive affirmations to improve one’s outlook with ’embrace the unknown’ and ‘trust the universe and it will lead the way’ being among her favourites.
Despite her new Gwyneth Paltrow-like lifestyle, Kate still allows herself one vice.
‘I still smoke occasionally,’ she told The Sunday Times. ‘I’ve heard that when you stop, you can really tell [by your skin]. But I haven’t stopped… yet.’
The model admitted she is in ‘denial’ about her upcoming 50th birthday because she does not feel her age.
‘I’m not turning 50,’ she said. ‘No. I’m not thinking about it. I do not feel 50.’
Briefly discussing her party days, Kate told how she now never stays out at a party past midnight, describing it as her ‘cut off point’.
