Kate Ritchie sparks rumours she could return to Home and Away after dropping a clue in her latest selfie

Kate Ritchie raised eyebrows this week after posting a beachside selfie with a particularly telling detail.

The 43-year-old shared a beaming photo of herself to Instagram with Sydney’s Palm Beach in the background.

Many of her 331,000 followers quickly noted the suburb is the shooting location for Home and Away’s exterior scenes.

This led to speculation that Kate could be returning to the series which made her famous after nine years away.

She sported a black baseball cap, T-shirt and a matching black hoodie draped over her shoulders as she trekked past the picturesque oceanside.

The brunette cheekily wrote next to the snap: ‘Heading home and filling my cup today’, followed by a winking emoji.

Kate was just eight years old when she appeared in the pilot episode of Home and Away in 1988 and she grew up with the show appearing as a regular until 2008.

Her nostalgic return to Summer Bay comes weeks she had her driver’s licence suspended for three months for drink driving in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Despite concerns this could impact her career the radio star was confirmed to return to her regular gig on Nova FM’s Kate, Tim & Joel drive-time show on Monday.
