Kate Upton makes stunning realization after ‘accidentally falling in love’ with MLB star Justin Verlander: ‘It’s insane’

Kate Upton revealed she knew very little about the MLB’s grueling schedule when she met her future husband, Justin Verlander.

The actress and model, who added baseball WAG to her resume when she wed the Astros pitcher in 2017, said she fell in love before realizing how chaotic her life would become.

‘Being a baseball wife is absolutely insane, like this schedule is wild, it’s so long. I didn’t know,’ the 32-year-old said on Monday’s episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast.

‘I accidentally fell in love. I had no idea that there were this many games,’ she went on.

Upton explained that the MLB’s spring training begins in February, and is followed by the 162-game regular season that lasts six months from late March until late September.

The postseason then continues for another month.

‘No consecutive off days, only Mondays and Thursdays,’ she said, joking that they were her favorite days of the week.

‘I’m like I don’t see him, especially when you start getting into late playoffs when the baseball is so exciting, but you’re like, “I haven’t seen my husband in months, like they better win,”‘ she continued.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model went on, ‘To watch someone you love out there and have no control, it was a totally new experience, and so it already started this nervous energy running through me like, “Oh no’!”‘

‘And you want them to do well and you want them to feel good, you know, he’s my husband. I want him to come home and be happy and not be disappointed in how he played or what happened.’
