Katie Holmes enjoys a makeup-free evening with her hair in an unfussy bun as she models a bulky sweater while chatting on the phone in New York City

Katie Holmes sported a casual look as she stepped out for a night errand in New York City on Tuesday. 

The 44-year-old Batman Begins star hid her fit figure under a baggy purple-and-white sweater and equally oversized black sweatpants. 

She went makeup free for the outing, appearing to be deep in conversation with someone on her red cell phone. 

Rounding out her dressed down ensemble were a pair of black tennis shoes and a large black purse she kept slung over her shoulder. 

The Dawson’s Creek actress kept her signature chestnut brown hair tied back in a messy bun for the outing.

The down to Earth star has never been afraid to stroll the streets of New York City in dressed down ensembles — although, she typically tends to flaunt her toned abs and muscles on said outings. 

Although the radiant natural beauty was rumored to be dating her hunky talent manager Jeremy Barber earlier this summer, Katie appears to be perfectly content living her best single mom life as of October. 

Prior to the Jeremy rumors, the brunette beauty was dating Grammy nominated composer Bobby Wooten III. 

However, the couple called it quits last December — only seven months after they made their red carpet debut. 

Demonstrating that she’s always had a thing for musicians, the Alone Together star was in a long-term relationship for six years with Jamie Foxx, 55. 

The A-list couple flew under the radar at the start of their relationship in 2013 — a year after she divorced her Top Gun star husband. 

However, the low key couple kept their own breakup just as quiet as their entire relationship, going their separate ways in 2019 without ever making it down the aisle. 

Romantic life aside, the 5’9 stunner has been focused on the top relationship in her life — the one with her only daughter, Suri Cruise, 17. 

Although the mother-daughter duo are rarely spotted on public outings together, when they do step out Katie’s daughter looks like the spitting image of her famous mother.

Acting and family life aside, Katie had ventured out into executive producing with her two last film projects, Alone Together and Rare Objects. 

However, she’s been unable to star in anything new in the past several months due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. 

In addition to producing and starring in Alone Together and Rare Objects, Katie also tried her hand at helping to pen the scripts. 

Her next project has yet to be confirmed.
