Katie Price has spoken about her drug shame and divulged details of her recent breakdown during an explosive appearance on Loose Women on Friday.
The 40-year-old glamour model spoke candidly about her past year, in which she was arrested for drink-driving, entered rehab, was caught on camera talking about taking cocaine and going bankrupt.
Speaking about her drug use, she said: ‘My family and friends were hurt, they didn’t know what to do. All these years in the industry I never have [done drugs] but I purely did it to self-medicate, I went to the doctors and told them the truth…

‘Self-medicating on drugs really, it was disgusting, but it was my way of dealing with it. At least I can hold my hands up, if I didn’t speak out now, I would still be in a rut’.
Katie’s ordeal has been well-documented after her various brushes with the law throughout 2018 as concerned fans saw her deteriorate.
In summer, a video came to light showing the star partying with a group of holidaymakers as she was filmed rapping about her love of cocaine.
During her dramas, Katie’s ex Peter Andre took their children – Junior, 13, and Princess, 11 – and she now agrees this was the right choice.

Her ex-husband Kieran Hayler meanwhile was communicating with Peter about what was happening with Katie and what she was going through.
She said: ‘I get so angry, I put my side of the story online, the kids are back to normal. I don’t blame Pete doing what he did at the beginning, my ex Kieran told him I was self-medicating, there’s more drama behind that, but everything is back to normal now.
‘It has been like that for ages, all I read about myself, skint, mucky mansion, hasn’t got her kids, I am sick of reading it!’
Katie was married to Kieran from 2013, and they are understood to be going through divorce procedures, having split last year.

She was married to Peter – whom she met on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 – from 2005 to 2009. They share children Princess and Junior together.
She married Alex Reid in 2010, divorcing him in 2012. After this, she dated and married Kieran, sharing Bunny and Jett, who are four and five.
Katie also is mother to Harvey, 16, whom she had with footballer ex Dwight York. Katie is reportedly preparing to fight with Kieran over their two children, insiders say.
The former glamour model started her interview by revealing she is in a good place, she said: ‘It’s good to be back, I’m feeling in a good place. Last year, I wasn’t in a good place so much went on and so much for a human being to go through.’
Katie went on to discuss her visit to the Priory, which she dismissed as being rehab for drinks or drugs, she said: ‘Nothing to do with any drinks or drugs, I wasn’t near anyone in the Priory [who did drinks or drugs], they said I needed traumatic rehabilitation.

‘It was what I went through at the beginning of the year, they told me mum was dying, my dog got run over and killed on my drive, horse killed outside my house, kidnap threat against Harvey, ex-husband cheating AGAIN, divorcing, hijack and held at gun point in South Africa, imagine all of that and having a divorce. It was a nightmare, nowhere to run, people doing stories on me.
‘I went to a doctor, told them I’m not myself, I didn’t want to go horse riding, sleeping all the time, I asked for help. I went to the Priory, I wasn’t a resident, I took the kids to school, then went for the day, then picked up the kids.
‘If I could say everyone go to the Priory, then I would, it looks at the root of where the problems have started. They deal with the traumatic stuff.’
Katie also dismissed bankruptcy reports and her ‘messy’ mansion, revealing: ‘When I buy houses, I buy homes really rundown, my home is 11 bedrooms, 3 floors, everything needs doing. I concentrated on what needed to be done, the horses, the pool was working but the pumps have now gone.

‘I think it’s disgusting drones are allowed to fly over my property. It is all new now, it’s different. On Through The Keyhole, I told them I was in the middle of doing it up and can they wait a few weeks, it will look different. But they wanted to do it, it’s completely different now.
‘I am definitely not bankrupt, successful people, sometimes you go bankrupt or have an IVA. I haven’t gone bankrupt, nothing like that, it was an IVA it was all to do with tax on one of them (her businesses), it is what it is. I love this clarifying, I have been wanting to do it!’
Katie also discussed selling her hot pink Barbie Suzuki jeep on eBay and it having to be removed due to the abusive messages from online trolls.
She said: ‘I don’t use the car, I bought it for my German Shepherds, I thought I was going to get rid of it, [it took off on Ebay] I thought this is ridiculous.

‘Ebay in Holland took it down as they said we can’t allow all this trolling on the site about Harvey. What has Harvey got to do with the car? It’s disgusting stuff, I am going to the police tomorrow about it.’
Katie went onto joke about the colour pink, especially with her cars, being a bad omen and that she has plans to downsize from her mansion into a smaller home already done up.
The business woman also shared that her terminally ill mother, Amy, who has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, has deteriorated with her shaking and her chest.
She added: ‘I said to her: “The more you moan to me, mum, everyday… I know you are alright.”‘

Katie also spoke about her petition called Harvey’s Law to make online abuse of disabled people a criminal offence and it has won the backing of MPs after they found current laws were not fit for purpose.
She said: ‘This is the thing, out of my whole career the best thing I have ever done and achieved is Harvey’s Law. Online abuse will be a criminal offence, it just goes to show there’s a lot of people who do petitions and it doesn’t get that far. A year ago we started it, it was my mum’s dream before she died to make this happen. Well mum, one of your dreams has come true, she is over the moon!’
Talking about it being backed by MPs, she added: ‘I can’t, I never dreamed in a million years. It’s a shame, Harvey doesn’t know, he still has no idea people troll him.’
Katie ended her interview by saying: ‘Hopefully I’ll be back on the panel soon,’ she joked her panellists should come round to her now tidy mansion.
