Katie Price says she’ll be arrested when she lands in UK after skipping £760,000 bankruptcy hearing for £10,000 face lift in Turkey – as she begs for son Harvey’s ‘protection’

Katie Price has begged for son’s Harvey’s ‘protection’ after revealing she will be arrested when she returns to the UK after skipping a bankruptcy court hearing to undergo a £10,000 face lift in Turkey.

The former glamour model, 46, has broken her silence after failing to appear in front of judge last Tuesday as a part her £760,000 bankruptcy court proceedings.

Price instead flew to Turkey on holiday for her sixth facelift while staying at a £133 per-night five-star hotel.

In a statement posted to Instagram, Price claimed she had been in Turkey filming an unnamed documentary.

She said on return from work, she would be ‘detained at the airport’ which is what the ‘courts feel is necessary.’

Katie Price’s statement in full

‘I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest.

Despite what has been misreported I am now in route back from filming my documentary.

I was never just abroad being ignorant to what’s going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there has been miscommunications here between a number of people here to do with my bankcrupcy.

‘However now I am returning home from work, and I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.

‘I do hope of course for my sons sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see.

‘Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.

‘I would like to point out once again that this is to do with a very unfortunate financial circumstance which as hard as it has been does not make a criminal or a bad person.

‘Millions of people suffer losses and go through bankruptcy’s, through many different reasons and mine was due to serious mental health issues and breakdowns from PTSD.

‘Whilst it’s been hard, I repeatedly will stand by the fact I am not embarrassed or ashamed that this has happened to me.

‘People loose their lives every day over the embarrassment and fear of these situations and the public bullying l’ve endured on this matter is simply just not ok. I will continue to speak out on this and not be ashamed.

‘I have and am continuing to pay back debtors as ordered by the court.

‘I will address this with the police and courts when I land and I ask for my son Harvey’s sake it’s handled with care and compassion.

‘I am after all only a human being I appreciate all of you that continue to show me love it means a lot.’

Discussing her son Harvey, 22, who is with her in Turkey, Price asked that they ‘allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see’.

While acknowledging the ‘severity’ of the matter, Price said she was being treated ‘like a criminal’ and declared the ‘unfortunate financial circumstance’ did not make her a ‘criminal or bad person’.

Defiantly, Price said she was ‘not embarrassed or ashamed’ regarding the arrest.

Her statement comes after she failed was ordered to pay £25,000 after being declared bankrupt twice.

A judge at a previous hearing said Price risked arrest if she did not attend further court dates, adding evidence must be provided if she could not appear.

Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said she  had ‘failed to attend today’s hearing’ and had provided no explanation for her absence.

She said: ‘It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.

‘She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing.’

She continued: ‘The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.’

Judge Burton said that an arrest warrant was not issued ‘lightly’ but that Price had offered only ‘piecemeal co-operation’ and failed to provide the ‘most basic information’ in relation to her bankruptcies.

Price flew to Turkey on 29 July, sharing a snap of her on a plane just hours before her court hearing the day after.

It’s believed Price – whose £2million ‘mucky mansion’ was recently repossessed – was joined on the jaunt by pal Lou Anderson

Price also jetted away with Married at First Sight star and boyfriend JJ Slater, 31.

In Turkey, Price had her sixth face lift, which cost £10,000.

Price is understood to have had the face lift at the Trio Clinic in Istanbul, with work being carried out on her eyes and under her chin.

Previously, she  was served an eviction notice that ordered her to leave her Mucky Mansion by the end of May and has since moved into a £5,000 per month new Tudor-style property.

Price was declared bankrupt for a second time in March over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05 after first being declared bankrupt in 2019.

However, at the end of July she claimed ‘everything is sorted’ with her second bankruptcy after being evicted from her Sussex bolthole.
