Katy Perry paints her face purple to play Ursula from The Little Mermaid for American Idol’s Disney night

Katy Perry arrived at Sunday’s American Idol taping in Los Angeles sporting a set of tentacles and purple face paint to play the sea witch Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
The 34-year-old pop singer was dressed up for the singing competition’s Disney Night, though her fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan didn’t join her in the costume play.

Katy’s impressively intricate look required her to paint her face purple, accented with blue eyeshadow and a splash of scarlet lipstick, just like the cartoon villain.
She covered her usual pixie cut with a gray wig featuring gray tresses swept up for a darkly expressionistic look.
Her costume conveniently featured a sheer purple section covering her top and arms, and the bottom section featured shimmering black sequins and rhinestones.
