Katy Perry’s unexpected link to AFL WAGs Rebecca Judd and Nadia Bartel has been revealed after her hotly-anticipated AFL Grand Final headlining gig on Saturday.
The American pop sensation, 39, dazzled the 100,000-strong crowd at the MCG as she delivered an electrifying pre-game performance before the Brisbane Lions vs Sydney Swans showdown.
As well as capturing attention with her vocals and high-energy hits, Katy’s 20-minute set also had a very unlikely link with Aussie household names Rebecca, 41, and Nadia, 39.
Katy took to the stage with a glowing complexion that was achieved with the help of none other than Rebecca and Nadia’s popular tanning company, Spray Aus.
Emily McKay, who founded Spray Aus with the help of the WAGs, took to Instagram to reveal she had personally visited Katy at her hotel to apply the spray tan using their mobile tanning service.
She shared: ‘You guys, Katy Perry. Tanned by me in @sprayaus using our OG solution. What a special moment.’
Spray Aus, established in 2014 by Emily and Ellie Pearson, has grown into a major player in the beauty industry.
Soon after its launch, Chris Judd’s wife Rebecca and Jimmy Bartel’s wife Nadia joined the business, helping it expand to four standalone salons across Melbourne.

Katy shocked with an astounding song choice and some very ‘bizarre’ CGI effects during her AFL Grand Final performance at the MCG.
She stunned fans almost immediately as she kicked off her set – for which she was reportedly paid $5million – with her hit Roar, despite it being widely theorised she wouldn’t play the number.
There had been feverish speculation that the track had been blacklisted because it would show supposed bias to the Lions, with Perry herself even admitting she had been warned against singing it.
However, despite the rampant theories, Perry threw caution to wind by performing the song some fans consider the unofficial anthem of the underdogs.
She then caused further surprise with her setlist by not singing Hot n Cold, despite it famously being the theme tune to MasterChef Australia and jokingly regarded by many as Aussie’s true ‘national anthem’.

She performed her hits Teenage Dreams, Dark Horse, Firework and California Gurls and sang I Kissed A Girl with Tina Arena, but notably missed out Hot n Cold, even though it was widely expected to feature.
Following reports she was restricted to just one new song by AFL bosses, she also belted out two tracks from her 2024 album 143 – Lifetimes and Gorgeous, her collaboration with Kim Petras.
Though fans praised her vocal talents, many viewers were also left baffled by one unusual detail during the performance, which they claimed had no place at an AFL Grand Final.
Viewers at home took to social media to mercilessly mock her choice to accompany her real-life performance and dance moves with an array of ‘bizarre’ CGI effects.
Katy was reportedly hoping her AFL show would ‘revive’ her ‘faltering’ pop career and help promote her new album 143, which has been met with divisive reviews.

Katy was said to have been hopeful to perform several songs from her new album to the crowd, in an attempt to promote the LP, which was savaged by critics.

Channel Nine reporter Tom Morris claimed AFL big wigs told the hitmaker they expected her to perform her older hits, such as Firework and I Kissed A Girl.
Appearing on SEN Breakfast ahead of her show, the veteran AFL journalist claimed they reached a compromise, with Katy limited to playing just one new song.
Her long-awaited seventh studio album 143, which references the expression ‘I love you’, didn’t get off to a good start with music critics as it received lukewarm reviews.
One damning review of her first album in four years from a top entertainment outlet declared that Perry ‘struggles to reclaim past glory on the flat 143’.
