In a new book about her time covering Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, Katy Tur said there were a number of times she felt uncomfortable.
One in particular that she writes abut is the tie she received an unwelcome kiss on the cheek from the then-candidate.
The incident happened before one of his appearances on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
‘Before I know what’s happening, his hands are on my shoulders and his lips are on my cheek,’ Tur wrote, according to Business Insider.
‘My eyes widen. My body freezes. My heart stops.’

Then a daunting thought crossed her mind.
‘F***, I hope the cameras didn’t see that. My bosses are never going to take me seriously,’ she recounted about the interaction in her new book Unbelievable.
The journalist traveled with Trump to more than 40 states as NBC News’ and MSNBC’s Trump correspondent beginning June 16, 2015, when the then-candidate descended the escalator at Trump tower to announce he would be running for president.
Since that day Trump has on multiple occasions spoken publicly about his dislike of the reporter and her coverage.
At two separate campaign rallies he called her out by name, once calling her ‘Little Katy’ and calling her a ‘third-rate reporter.’
In the book Tur recounts how she and other media members were often yelled at by angry Trump crowds at his campaign rallies.
‘They turn as one to boo at us in unison. Six thousand Trump supporters railing against 30 or so journalists – caged in the center of the arena like a modern-day Roman Coliseum,’ she wrote.
Tur wrote about her experience on the cmapaign trail with Trump in her new book Unbelievable, My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History

Tur also told of a time she met Trump for an interview in Trump Tower in July 2015. Trump had a larger than life presence, she wrote.
She said that initially, he was both kind and charming.
‘But when he realized that his charm wasn’t going to change my reporting he would go on the attack,’ she explained in an interview on the TODAY show.
And his attacks on the media and what he calls ‘fake news’ continue to this day.
On Tuesday morning the President reacted to Tur’s book by firing off an angry tweet about the ‘fake news’ media.
‘Fascinating to watch people writing books and major articles about me and yet they know nothing about me & have zero access,’ Trump wrote Tuesday morning. ‘FAKE NEWS!’
The book’s subtitle is: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History.
