‘I don’t know why people are SO surprised when they find out that I eat fast food,’ she said.

‘I have been sharing my food philosophy of a balanced diet with NO restrictions for YEARS now.’

‘It seems easier for some people to look at me a put me in a ‘box’ rather than to actually try to understand me and what I stand for,’ she vented.

She went on to thank friends for the burger recommendation – admitting she didn’t feel great afterwards but it was ‘worth it’.

She also listed the top five things she stands for – many which focused on her ability to choose what she wants to eat as part of a balanced lifestyle.

She then divulged her go-to McDonalds order is a large McChicken meal with Coke, a caramel sundae and an apple pie.

What are the five things Kayla says she will ALWAYS stand for?

 1. Making fitness as SIMPLE and ACCESSIBLE as possible so that ANY woman feels empowered to start and maintain their own journey.

2. A sustainable approach to fuelling your body by eating foods you LOVE without complete elimination and restriction. Yes, that includes an occasional burger.

3. Staying in my lane. I’m a personal trainer, not a physio, a dietitian, or a doctor. I wholeheartedly believe I should only use my platform for advice when I am qualified to do so.

4. NOT letting health and fitness goals get in the way of life. But instead, integrating them into a healthy balanced lifestyle that you can ENJOY.

5. Practising what I preach. I’m not gonna sit here and tell you to do one thing, and then go and do another. I absolutely follow my own advice and that includes my weekly workouts from the Sweat app.

The things I recommend for you, as a trainer, are things I fundamentally believe in.

And the furious rant appeared to hit a spot with die-hard fans who celebrated her decision to ‘stay true’.

‘I just love that you are sharing yourself so much more than you used to. Makes you so much more relatable,’ on woman said.

But others could see where the original negative comments were coming from.

‘Probably because for most of us if we eat fast food we don’t look like you. Even if we do the workout program and eat well the other times,’ a woman said.

‘Must be the fact that you made your fortune from diet guide formerly called “bikini body goals” or whatever,’ said another.

In the rant the Adelaide native told her followers she wishes to stay in her own lane, as a personal trainer, and isn’t qualified to give dietary advice.

This earned her praise from people who are qualified to help people choose what to eat.

‘Thank you for saying this, I’m a dietitian and so many folks out there dish out nutrition advice that are unfounded upon it’s insane
