She then lights up a candle in the bathroom and takes a warm shower before slipping into bed to sleep.

Her video has been viewed more than one million times just one day after posting it online, with many saying they are keen to start their own bedtime routine now.

‘The nighttime routine we’ve been waiting for for years,’ one wrote.

Another said: ‘This is really inspiring for me because I’ve been struggling to calm my anxiety down and get a good night’s rest. Definitely gonna try this out.’

‘So peaceful. Thanks for sharing it’s a good reminder,’ another added, while one said: ‘Shower with a candle instead of lights is a brilliant idea. I’m absolutely going to use this.’

Another woman said she ‘loves’ doing an ‘unwind session’ every time before bed because they’re ‘short and just what the body craves after doing resistance workouts’.

‘I think it’s just great to do before bed so I can calm down from the craziness of the day and sleep well,’ she said.

One doctor responded to the video, saying Kayla’s bedtime routine is a ‘great association to prepare your body and brain for winding down and sleeping’.

‘A warm shower naturally cools our core body temperature because we lose heat when our skin warms up so that particularly helps,’ she added.
