She’s been hailed as one of the biggest beauties in showbiz, and new research has proven that Keira Knightley has the cheekbones which most women desire.
According to a Harley Street surgeon, the high cheekbones of the 32-year old star give her an ‘ageless beauty’ as they create the ‘very symmetrical’ face, many stars in Hollywood crave.
The second most popular cheekbone shape are that of supermodel Cara Delevingne, 25, according to experts.
The research was conducted by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva from looking at the records of 1,000 patients across the UK.
According to Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, Knightley’s cheekbones are ‘the first thing you notice about Keira’s face and give her an ageless beauty which will endure right throughout her career’
The third most coveted shape are the naturally plump cheeks of Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie, 42.
There has been a 10 per cent increase in filler and implant procedures from patients who want plumper cheeks similar to their favourite stars.
Supermodels dominate the top ten as high cheekbones are seen as one of the defining characteristics of classical beauty.
Naomi Campbell, 47, was in fourth place and Jackie star Natalie Portman, 36, was fifth.
Gisele Bundchen, 37, was the third supermodel on the list in sixth place and Murder On The Orient Express star Michelle Pfeiffer, 59, was seventh.
In eighth was Halle Berry, 51, Cameron Diaz, 45, was ninth and Scarlett Johansson, 33, was tenth.
Dr De Silva, from the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in Hammersmith, West London, said that 32-year-old Keira’s strikingly high cheekbones gave her face a timeless symmetry and they would always be the defining aspect of her beauty.
He said: ‘Keira’s beautifully shaped cheekbones really do stand out and are the look women want to replicate more than any other.
‘The term high cheekbones means someone like Keira has the widest part of their face just below their eyes.

‘This causes the cheek to dip in slightly below the bone – making the cheekbone stand out prominently. This dip can cause a shadow, which can accentuate the face even more.
‘High cheekbones, long considered the gold standard of beauty, tend to create a very symmetrical face which is coveted above all else in the fashion world and Hollywood.
‘High cheekbones also have a sexual connotation. They typically prove that a woman is old enough to be able to reproduce, and for men, they prove a high level of testosterone.’

Dr De Silva has seen a 10% rise in non-surgical filler and cheek implants by patients alarmed at the loss of volume in their faces.
He said: ‘As we age, we lose volume in our cheeks and gain it where we don’t want it – around the jaw and neck. The loss of volume can occur as early as our mid-20s, depending on lifestyle.
‘A beautiful youthful face has fullness in the cheeks. From 30 onwards, the hollowing of the cheeks can start to be visible, especially in people who diet or exercise a lot, like celebrities do.’
Dr De Silva warned that using fillers too often was not ideal and the use of silicone implants to the cheeks can permanently enhance cheekbone appearance. Cheek implants are often combined with other treatments such as a facelift or chin augmentation.
