They will return to Arpino – Jeremy’s hometown and the stunning location of their wedding – to immerse themselves in his family business.

An ITV source said: ‘With Kelly’s trademark sense of humour, and Jeremy’s passion for his heritage, This Morning viewers will become immersed in the couple’s journey of discovery in deciding whether Italian life really is right for them.’

‘The barn is an interesting talking point too as it could potentially become their dream home… if they can get the goats to move out first!’

The series is set to be a ratings winner for This Morning, with bosses making the most of their popularity following their appearance on Race Across the World.

The series, which begins on Wednesday, will show how Kelly and Jeremy’s Italian dream may not be all it’s cracked up to be and the simple life comes with its own challenges.

The duo have to tackle the busy harvest season, muck out the cows, look after livestock, go mushroom foraging in the Italian forest and attempt pizza and pasta making.

Speaking about the show, Kent-born Kelly, 44, said: ‘We are in a hilltop town in rural Italy and it has been the home of Jeremy’s family for the last 600 years… many many generations!’

‘Could we live here? It is something that I think is definitely in our future plans.’

Jeremy agreed: ‘It’s my dream… having a peaceful life! My family owns an olive farm – that is their main business – they have around 7000 trees and produce olive oil every year.’

Meanwhile, Kelly reveals how they have gone to Italy to pick the olives and farm.

Although realising how hard some of the tasks were, Kelly admits: ‘It takes a lot out of you, farming. Being with live farm animals is a very different situation!’

Kelly and Jeremy: La Vita Italiana will start next Wednesday (13th Nov) on This Morning from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
