American Idol may be a ratings rival to The Voice, but it is also a great supplier of judges.
Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson have both announced they are returning as coaches for season 15.
The Idol alums took over each other’s Instagram accounts on Friday morning to share the news with each others’ fans.

Both girls even finished their crossover posts with a few bars of each other’s songs.
‘Hey guys, Kelly don’t know but I snuck and I stole her phone, I wanted to tell y’all a little secret: Guess who’s coming back to the Voice? Me! With my girl Kelly,’ Hudson revealed, breaking into Since U Been Gone.
‘Hey what’s up Team Jhud,’ Kelly announced on the far side. ‘I’m here to announce that officially I’m coming back to the Voice this fall. And not only is that amazing news, but Jenifer Hudson is coming back with me.
‘Girls against the boys, y’all! Team JHud, Team KC. We’re coming after you, Adam and Blake. We’re friends, but we’re future frenemies!’

She then broke into Jennifer’s debut single Spotlight, tweaking the lyrics to ‘And we don’t mind / living in the same spotlight.’
‘I love Jennifer, I can’t wait,’ she beamed. ‘I got to work with her when I was a mentor on Season 13 I think, I love JHud!’
Along with Carrie Underwood, Kelly and Jennifer are considered the holy trinity of American Idol.

While Kelly and Carrie won their respective first and fourth seasons, Jennifer controversially only managed seventh place in season three; before going on to win a Grammy, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a Bafta, and a host of other awards.
Jennifer judged season 13 of The Voice alongside Miley Cyrus, while Kelly judged last season opposite Alicia Keys.
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will once again complete the quartet, as they have for all 15 seasons.
Last year Hudson also became the first female coach to win The Voice UK, in its sixth season.
