Kelly Clarkson reacts to winning TWO Daytime Emmy awards as she scoops up Outstanding Talk Show Host over Drew Barrymore: ‘We are beyond blessed’

Kelly Clarkson got an early holiday gift this season by winning big at the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday.

The singer/entertainer, 41, took home two of the big trophies as she scooped up Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series for her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Her show bested returning nominees The Drew Barrymore Show, Live With Kelly and Ryan and Today With Hoda and Jenna as well as first-time nominee The Jennifer Hudson Show.

The wins give Kelly a total of seven Daytime Emmys over her series’ first four seasons.

While she wasn’t on hand to collect the awards during the event at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, she did take to her Instagram to react to the news.

‘I am so proud of my whole team for our wins tonight!! Thank you to all of the people that started this show with us and to all of those who joined us this season!’ she wrote.

‘Thank you to all of the guests and fans that take time out of their lives and schedules to come hang with us! We are beyond blessed, and grateful, and so thankful for our new family and friends at 30 Rock who have been so supportive of our new home,’ she added, referencing the show’s recent relocation from LA to New York City.

The multi-hyphenate American Idol winner also has three Grammys to her name and is looking to add a fourth at the upcoming Feb. 4 ceremony.

She’s up for Best Pop Vocal Album for Chemistry.

Currently, she shares the lead with Adele, both having secured two wins each in this category.

At the Daytime Emmy Awards, Kelly’s show also shared the spotlight with Susan Lucci, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Shemar Moore presented the Lifetime Achievement Honor to Lucci.

The actor famously presented the actress her first Daytime Emmy Award in 1999 after she was nominated 19 times for playing Erica Kane in All My Children.

Moore hilariously exclaimed ‘the streak is over!’ after opening the envelope and seeing Lucci’s name.

‘I am truly humbled to receive this esteemed award from the Academy,’ Lucci said in a recent statement upon hearing the news of her lifetime achievement award.

‘Throughout my career, I have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside exceptional talents and embraced by my fans that have been with me every step of the way.’
