Kellyville home invasion: Nonchalant woman’s extraordinary response after waking up to three knifemen in her bedroom

A woman who woke up in the middle of the night to find three masked knifemen in her bedroom has laughed off the incident, saying they were ‘shaking’ and looked ‘more afraid than me’.

The 63-year-old woke to the sound of the thieves inside her Kellyville Ridge home, in Sydney’s northwest, shortly before 3.20am on Tuesday.

CCTV footage shows the thieves searching the streets for a target before coming across the woman’s home on Armour Avenue with an open garage door.

Three people jumped out of the car and ran towards the garage as their getaway driver turned around.

They returned to the vehicle but were back at the woman’s home just minutes later to enter a second time before fleeing at 3.09am.

After the group returned another two times, the 63-year-old was woken by the noise of the trio in her bedroom, holding knives.

‘[They were] shaking, saying “You’ve gotta tell me where is your passport? Where is your money?”,’ she told Nine News.

‘I said “What are you doing?” and I pushed them away, the knife.

‘But when I see them talk, they shake. I thought “Oh, they’re more afraid than me”.’

The group fled the property and met their getaway car outside of the woman’s home at 3.17am.

The woman then woke her 65-year-old partner and they called the police. Neither were injured during the invasion.

Investigators urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police immediately
