He is set to make his debut on the ice in early January, alongside the likes of Stephanie Waring, Donna Air and Antony Cotton.
But whether he succeeds on the show or not, Kem Cetinay has revealed his stint on Dancing On Ice has simply been a welcome distraction from his breakup with Amber Davies.
Speaking to the Mirror on Tuesday, the 21-year-old confessed it had been ‘good to concentrate’ on mastering the skill of skating, as it has taken his mind off his recent heartache.

When asked whether training with partner Alex Murphy had distracted him from the split, he said: ‘Yeah it’s been good, even sometimes if I’m just on there on my own… just skating around, it’s good to concentrate on something… really really good.’
Despite his romantic woes, Kem revealed he has instead been leaning on best pal Chris Hughes for support during his intense training schedule.
He said of his friend, who he also met on Love Island: ‘He’s buzzing… He’s my number one fan to be fair because he knows I had a hard time when I was starting.’

Amber and Kem parted ways earlier this month, after falling for each other on ITV2’s Love Island back in June.
Having rocketed to the heights of fame after the reality series, the pair decided to call time on their romance due to their conflicting time schedules.
Confirming the separation to MailOnline, they said: ‘With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us.’
It was later claimed Amber had ended the relationship as she felt things were ‘moving too fast’ – with the pair openly discussing the prospect of marriage and children in the future, in a number of interviews.

A source told Heat magazine: ‘She’s only young and she got a bit freaked out that her whole life seemed like it was being planned for her. She really loves Kem, but it’s for the best they’ve split.’
While she admitted her heartbreak on Instagram, the brunette beauty is seemingly starting to move on from Kem, as she has been linked to a number of other suitors.
She first sparked romance rumours with TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, after the pair were spotted enjoying a night out at Essex hotspot Sheesh Chigwell.
It was then claimed she had caught the attention of singer Olly Murs, after they reportedly met at the same restaurant, and began to talk on Instagram.
