Kendall Jenner cuts a stylish figure in a black crop top and brown skirt in LA

Kendall Jenner looked fashionable as she made her way to the 818 Tequila Bar at REVOLVE Social Club in Los Angeles on Monday.

The reality star, 26, stepped out in a black crop top, a brown skirt that fell just below her knees and a pair of sandals.

She accessorized with dark sunglasses and a black purse slung over her right shoulder.

Jenner’s finger and toenails were painted a vibrant red while her copper-colored hair was parted in the middle and fell down to her upper back.

At the middle part, the model’s dark brown roots could be seen growing back in.

Jenner also gave fans an inside look at her day via social media in videos she posted to her Instagram story.

The Life of Kylie star posted videos which showed huge billboards featuring herself including one that was cleverly placed next to an ad for Skims showcasing her sister Kim Kardashian in an underwear set.

Following those clips, Jenner took fans into REVOLVE with her and taped the small kiosk sitting inside dedicated to 818 Tequila.

On the table were unopened bottles of the popular alcohol and several mixed drinks that the bartender had already prepared.

She then took a video where she made duck lips and other faces at the camera while her car rolled down the Los Angeles streets.

Later in the day, Kendall had several meetings to promote her tequila at notable Los Angeles bars.

The first was at The Abbey where she met with the owner David Cooley. The pair made Berry Mint Kenny cocktails.

After that, she traveled to Lance Bass’ bar Heart, the largest gay bar in the United States, where she toasted with some of her own tequila.

Jenner co-founded the brand 818 Tequila last year though, and it has faced quite a bit of strife during that time.

During its initial launch, fans criticized Jenner for cultural appropriation after she posted several photos including one in which she was riding a horse with her hair wore down in braids.

Another photo showed Mexican workers working in agave fields, the plant which tequila is primarily made from.

The cultural appropriation claims fans made stemmed from the fact that Jenner is not Mexican and she named the tequila brand, the official page of which stated it was ‘hand-crafted tequila from Jalisco, Mexico’ after the area code of Calabasas where she grew up.

Cultural appropriation claims on the internet were just the beginning of the star’s problems when it came to the brand.

A competing tequila company, Tequila 512, filed a lawsuit against 818 Tequila for trademark infringement, false designation of origin and unfair competition back in February.

Insider reported that Tequila 512’s complaint claimed Jenner’s brand ‘simply and blatantly copied the branding’ of their own product citing the use of a prominent area code with a one in the middle and the ‘distinctive black lettering inside a vertical yellow rectangle’ as chief reasons for the complaint.

Tequila 512’s CEO Nick Matzorkis told the outlet that ‘Any reasonable-minded person can see the obvious likeness between our Tequila 512 blanco bottle that initially hit the market in 2016 and the 818 Tequila blanco bottle released in 2021.’

A representative for Jenner’s brand responded to the claims by telling Insider that the company did not believe there was any merit to the complaint.
