It was a simple spelling question which most wouldn’t even blink at.
But one husband’s repeated failed attempts to answer his wife’s brainteaser have gone viral.
Chris Partin was asked by his wife Heather to say aloud what the letters e-y-e-s spelled as she filmed him at their home in Kentucky last month.
To trick him, she first made up answer what word y-e-s spelled, leaving that combination of letters fresh in his mind.
Time after time, Chris, who works for Walmart, told his wife confidently that e-y-e-s spelled ‘e-yes’ and time.
Baffled by her laughter, he pleaded: ‘Is it a Spanish word? You know I don’t speak Spanish!’
‘Y-e-s spells yes and the last part of that word is yes!’
Chortling behind the camera lens, Heather can be heard saying: ‘I’m gonna pop a disc!’

‘You need to tell me the truth to this question. Why are you putting the e in front of it. It’s e-yes!’
