Kerri-Anne Kennerley accuses Channel 10 producers of ‘lying’ to her in epic spray as she lifts the lid on her shock exit from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Kerri-Anne Kennerley has gone on a tirade against Channel 10 after her dramatic exit from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia.

The 70-year-old claimed she was ‘lied’ to ahead of her decision to sign up for the Channel Ten reality show in 2023.

The TV icon told Tammin Sursok on her podcast The Sh*t Show, that ‘promises’ were made to her before she agreed to go into the jungle.

‘[Ten] came to me and promised me this, this and this … and I had nothing else to do at the time,’ she claimed.

‘I got promised a bunch of stuff and they lied. And so instead of being in there, the three weeks I committed to, I got out in three days. They lied.’

Kerri-Anne said she ‘didn’t want to go into’ what producers had promised her and joining the show was ‘the dumbest thing’ she’s ever done.

‘I’m even dumbfounded that I said to myself after I’ve gone, oh my God. I avoided exactly what happened for 10 years,’ she continued.

‘If I had thought about it for one more nanosecond and the things that were said to me were not said to me, I wouldn’t have done it in a heartbeat.’

Kerri-Anne claimed she always ‘thought I was pretty bulletproof, and then you get wounded and move on. But no … dumb, dumb, dumb – and lies. That’s what I put it down to.’

Channel Ten declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.

Kerri-Anne sensationally left the jungle after MAFS star Domenica Calarco branded her ‘the most self-centered b**** she’s ever met’ during a fiery spat.

It later emerged Dom also called KAK a ‘c**t’ for refusing to participate in an eating challenge – although this moment was edited out of the broadcast.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Sydney Confidential shortly after her exit, Kerri-Anne was upset over quitting within the first week of the show, but she ‘loved’ living in the camp with some of the ‘fabulous’ famous faces.

‘I am very disappointed that I couldn’t stay,’ she said, adding that the challenges were strenuous.

Kerri-Anne admitted that she’d never camped before and ‘never wanted to’ until she entered the jungle, but noted that she’d learned a lot about camping life.

She also addressed Dom’s ‘hurtful’ comments before her exit.

‘I am a tough old bird but that doesn’t mean what people say aren’t hurtful,’ she added.

‘I also just wanted the camp to know I am not a horrible person. But you can’t have regrets as it’s not how life works.’

The TV veteran’s time on the series came to an end after only four days in the South African jungle.
