Kevin Costner’s Aussie model starlet Abbey Lee has a wardrobe malfunction at the premiere of his new Western series in Los Angeles

Abbey Lee suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the premiere of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 36-year-old actress, who plays Kevin Costner’s romantic lead, looked glamorous in a long black dress at the event.

The strapless frock featured a high slit and had long feathers across the décolletage.

But the unique design made it difficult for the actress to see as it covered her face as she walked the red carpet and signed autographs for fans.

Abbey ensured her dress remained the focus, accessorising her look with a pair of simple black strappy heels and diamond earrings.

The actress tied her blonde locks back into a ponytail and wore a natural makeup palette to the event.

Abbey plays Costner’s romantic lead in the series, which also stars, Sienna Miller, Jena Malone, Sam Worthington, Giovanni Ribisi, Ella Hunt, Danny Huston and Luke Wilson.

She is a model who has made an impressive transition to acting, scoring major roles in popular films, including Mad Max: Fury Road, M. Night Shyamalan’s Old and The Neon Demon.

The blonde beauty, who was born in Melbourne, Australia, was the winner of the Australian Girlfriend Model Search in 2004.

After getting expelled from high school in her senior year around that time, she moved to Sydney to pursue modelling full time.

By 2007, her career had advanced rapidly enough for her to move to New York City to pursue prime campaigns.

She had her New York Fashion Week debut in 2008, and she walked in shows for Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta and Halston, among others.

She had a breakthrough year in 2012, when she slowed down her modelling work to film Mad Max: Fury Road in Africa.

The film wouldn’t be released until 2015, but it was a box office hit and was well regarded by critics, giving her instantly positive exposure.

She followed it up with a supporting role in the controversial model-themed horror film The Neon Demon in 2016, followed by a role in France-based provocateur Gaspar Noé’s intense horror film Lux Æterna, which starred Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Horizon appears to be Abbey’s biggest project to date and could potentially be the breakthrough film that introduces her to a wider audience.

It is set to be released in the United States on June 28, 2024, while Chapter 2 will be released on August 16, 2024.

The four-part series had a budget of $100 million and director Kevin contributed $38 million of his own money into the project, according to the outlet.

Horizon earned a 10-minute standing ovation from the audience following its premiere screening at the 77th Cannes Film Festival last month.
