Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline reportedly has some concerns about the star regaining complete control of her life ‘without any expert evaluation.’
According to the 43-year-old rapper’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, the dad-of-two ‘really has no inside information about what goes on inside of the conservatorship.’
‘It was distressing to see her be in distress,’ Federline’s lawyer told Page Six. ‘If Britney is in a healthy and good and strong place, that’s great. He wants her to be happy and healthy.’

However, Kaplan addressed his apprehension over reports ‘Britney wants [the conservatorship] terminated without any expert evaluation’ as he referenced her comments about being made to take lithium.
‘Lithium is regarded as a very powerful psychotropic medication,’ Kaplan pointed out. ‘I have to hope that if some medical professional prescribed that for her that there was some condition or basis for that to be deemed an appropriate medical protocol.’
Kaplan continued: ‘So, if the conservatorship were to end and even more so to be terminated without an exit evaluation, I’m sure that Kevin would at least want to know what the conditions were that gave rise to her being prescribed that, and Kevin would probably have to engender some dialogue along those lines at some point in time if that were to occur.’
‘The best thing would be for their mom to be healthy and happy. And if either of those things aren’t true, it doesn’t provide for the best setting for custody to be exercised,’ Kevin’s attorney said in a statement
Britney, 39, has expressed her desire for her conservatorship to end after 13-years of having much of her life controlled by her father Jamie Spears.
Kevin expressed his support for the songstress in a previous statement via Kaplan on Tuesday, saying that her health and happiness, as the mother of their two kids, comes first.
‘The best thing would be for their mom to be healthy and happy. And if either of those things aren’t true, it doesn’t provide for the best setting for custody to be exercised,’ Kevin’s attorney said.

‘[Kevin] certainly respects Britney and only hopes the best for her because when the best for her is achieved, it’s the best for their kids. The kids love their mother and he wants there to be a healthy and strong relationship.’ Kaplan told People.
In reference to the shocking revelations from Britney in court last week and her request to get her ‘life back’, Kaplan added: ‘Britney has not been served well by the conservatorship and it’s not consistent with what she wants.
‘I think that she should be able to challenge that. And if it’s what’s best for her, Kevin supports it.’

Furthermore, Kevin’s attorney said that he believes it’s for the best for Britney’s ‘voice to be heard’.

Britney appeared in court last week and she called for her dad – who has been acting as her conservator to control her personal and business affairs – to be jailed.
She also said she feels ‘traumatized’ by the controlling system she has been placed under.
She said: ‘I am not happy, I can’t sleep. I’m so angry, it’s insane. And I’m depressed. I am traumatized. I just want my life back.
‘I want to end this conservatorship without being evaluated. This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good. I deserve to have a life, I’ve worked my whole life. I deserve to have a two to three-year break.’
The Toxic hitmaker went on to accuse her father and her conservatorship team of refusing to allow her to marry her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, or have children with him.
Britney claims her conservators have not allowed her to have her IUD, a form of birth control, removed.
‘If she’s strong and healthy and wants to be in control of her own life, and can do that in a reasonable, responsible fashion, then more power to her,’ Kaplan added
She added: ‘I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I have an IUD inside of myself so that I don’t get pregnant, but [my team doesn’t] want me to have any more children.’
The star slammed her current situation as ‘abusive’, and even called for her father and those involved with her conservatorship to be ‘jailed’.
She fumed: ‘They have me going to therapy three times a week and to a psychiatrist.
‘I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don’t feel like I can live a full life. In the meantime, I want this therapist to come to my home, I’m not willing to go to Westlake… They set me up by sending me to the most exposed places. I need your help.
‘My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management … they should be in jail.’
Following Britney’s comments, Jamie’s legal team released a statement.
They said: ‘He is sorry to see is daughter suffering and in so much pain. Mr Spears loves his daughter very much.’
Britney made bombshell comments in her court testimony last week as she attempts to end her conservatorship. She told the court: ‘My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management … they should be in jail.’
And following Britney’s comments, her younger sister Jamie Lynn has said she is always supporting her sibling behind the scenes.
In a lengthy video message published to her Instagram Story, the Zoey 101 star said: ‘I just want to take a second to address a few things.
‘The only reason I hadn’t before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly that it wasn’t my place and it wasn’t the right thing to do.
‘But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feeI I need to say.
‘Since the day I was born, I’ve only loved adored and supported my sister. I mean this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls***. I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way. This situation does not affect me either way, because I’m only her sister who’s only concerned about her happiness.’

Jamie Lynn, 30, went on to say she’s ‘proud’ of her sister for ‘requesting new counsel’ in her conservatorship, and said she is ‘praying’ Britney finds happiness.
She added: ‘Maybe I didn’t support the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform but I can assure you that I support my sister long before there was a hashtag and I’ll support her long after.
‘I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her many years ago – oh, not in a public platform but just in a personal conversation between two sisters.
‘If ending the conservatorship and flying to Mars or whatever the hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that 100 percent because I support my sister; I love my sister. Always have, always will. As long as she’s happy. So let’s keep praying. That’s all.’
