Khloe Kardashian reveals she corrects people when they call her daughter True ‘big’

She is often seen sharing snaps  from her workout session or showcasing her toned form on her Instagram page.

And Khloe Kardashian opened up about her relationship with her body and food in the November issue of Health magazine. 

Khloe, 37, told Health.com used to be an emotional eater, reaching for food when she was feeling sad.

The star posed with her adorable daughter True, three, for one image, as the duo twinned in a white top and denim.

Khloe, who shares True with on/off boyfriend Tristan Thompson, said she is making sure her daughter takes care of her emotional and physical health.

She explained that she tries to always remind her that ‘it’s OK if she cries or if something is wrong.’

‘When it comes to food – I had so many issues. It wasn’t from one person, I guess just from society or how people critiqued my body. So, I don’t play when it comes to True.’

True is very tall, Khloe says so when people say ‘”She’s so big”‘ Khloe will say back ‘”Oh, she’s so tall”‘ making sure it is more descriptive and not in any way a negative.

‘I know what an adult means when they say that, but I don’t want her to misinterpret that,’ Khloe said.

The mother of one said to the magazine, when asked about if she had a positive relationship with food: ‘I’ve actually always had a really unhealthy relationship with food. When I was younger and was said, I would eat – I was an emotional eater.’

Adding that she ‘hated the way’ she felt afterwards.

‘I was almost punishing myself for binging or having a bag of chips – it just became so much thought,’ Khloe said.

The star said she’s tried every diet under the sun and ‘yo-yoed my entire life,’ and ‘always chasing some fad.’

Khloe said she tried the lemon juice and cayenne pepper diet trend after Beyonce did it but realized that she needed to made bigger changes – including going to the gym regularly.

‘When I started working out, I decided to make some lifestyle changes’ as she says she also focused on cutting one thing out each week before moving on to cutting out things for the month.

Each time she did that, she would focus on trying to incorporated another healthy change into her life.

While she was going through her divorce from Lamar Odom, the stunner turned her focus to the gym and also working on her self-care to recharge herself.

‘It’s all about mind, body and soul. If I am not mentally strong then I physically feel like I can’t do what I want to do. So it is really not about physical appearance. That’s a by-product. You can tell when someone is genuinely happy from the inside out.’

The stunner said that she’s still working on drowning out any negativity, which she says comes primarily from the world of Instagram.

If she sees something someone posts about her body or her how they perceive her, her ‘demeanor will be shot down,’ even if she tries to not let it affect her.

When she was younger, things didn’t bother her as much as they do now: ‘Normally when you’re older you turn into titanium. Sometimes I let that stuff get to me, and I have to actively drown that noise out.’ 

Khloe gushed about True’s relationship with her cousins and how close they are.

Family is something very important to Khloe – as it is for all Kardashian/Jenner members.

On what it means to her: ‘No matter what, you support one another. You’re allowed to argue and disagree. I could never imagine not speaking to of my sisters.’

While their fights – which sometimes turn physical – has been widely seen on  Keeping Up With The Kardashians – they always resolves their issues.

On making sure all the cousins get along: ‘I don’t care if they disagree – that’s inevitable. And of course I want them to talk through their feelings and feel validated. But there’s just no option for us to be separated and not talk to one another.’
