A court sketch of murder accused Tuhirangi-Thomas Tahiata during his trial at the Supreme Court in Brisbane on February 4. Tahiata was found guilty on Friday of murdering two people
After several days of deliberations, a Brisbane Supreme Court jury on Friday found Tahiata, 28, intentionally helped kill the pair.
Tuhirangi-Thomas Tahiata had pleaded not guilty to their murders, and the court had earlier heard how he was one of several people involved in their deaths.
The court heard how drug dealers Ms Triscaru and Mr Breton were lured to a Kingston unit, south of Brisbane, after Mr Breton told a friend he had a photo of a drug dealer on his phone, the court heard.
The metal box is retrieved from a dam at the scene in Kingston, south of Brisbane, on February 11, 2016. Six people were charged with murder following an investigation into the disappearance of Corey Breton and Luliana Triscaru in Logan
Once there, they were beaten and forced into a toolbox by a group of people, the court heard.
Tahiata told police he helped load the toolbox onto his ute and drove it to Scrubby Creek with another man, Trent Thrupp where it was dumped into the water.
Thrupp allegedly pushed it into the water, saying: ‘Time to die’.
The court watched a video of Tahiata leading police to where the bodies were dumped.
