Last month, Jodie Comer, 28, and Sandra Oh, 50, were seen filming dramatic scenes on board a boat on the Thames for the last episode of the fourth and final season of Killing Eve.

A TV insider told The Sun of the scene: ‘In the spirit of the show, it’s not clear who, if anyone, has been bumped off. And it looks like the story could have been left open for another future season.

But what is obvious is the fact the creators have pulled out all the stops to make this a spectacular finale. The action certainly seemed to hook the attention of passers-by, including Londoners and tourists who couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing.

‘And there was a moment of real high tension as the sound of gunshots echoed around the banks of the River Thames.’

Last month Jodie revealed that filming the last scenes for Killing Eve would be ’emotional’ as the hit series comes to an end.

Speaking on This Morning, she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield how she was about to shoot the last two episodes of the fourth and final season.

Jodie said that she hopes the show will end on a ‘good and satisfying’ note for viewers while not completely ruling out doing a film based on the series.

She said: ‘It’s very surreal, we are just about to start filming the last 2 episodes. We want to end on a good note and on a satisfying note for the audience. It’s been a huge part of all our lives.

‘I feel emotional even thinking about it. I want to take a clapper board with me when we wrap up!’

‘It will be great to end in a way as if you go on and on with a series the quality can fade, but it will be hard to not see those people every day.’

When asked about a potential Killing Eve film she added: ‘I don’t think it’s been spoken about but I don’t know what the future holds!’

It was revealed in March that Killing Eve’s much-anticipated fourth season will air on television next year.

It was confirmed by the show on Twitter that the much-loved spy thriller will draw to a conclusion with its fourth instalment in 2022.

However, in the final moments of the episode both Villanelle and Eve turned back around to look at each other – suggesting the two characters might end up together.

The promise of a future relationship delighted fans, who begged for the next series to start with the two characters together.

The episode also tied up loose ends of the series, including revealing Konstantin as Kenny’s apparent killer.
