Kim Kardashian ‘to launch intimates line’ after DASH stores close

She has just announced the closure of all of her DASH clothing stores, which she shared with sister Kourtney and Khloe.

But Kim Kardashian, 37, doesn’t appear to be done with the clothing industry just yet, as she is reportedly planning to launch her very own intimates and shapewear line.

According to TMZ, the reality star has been hard at work developing the new brand for women of all body types – and has been involved in every aspect from design to marketing.

The publication also states that the mother-of-three has teamed up with the people behind her sister Khloe Kadashian’s hugely popular Good American clothing line.

Knowing that her appeal is global, Kim is reportedly keen on her sexy new range to ‘serve the masses’ – rather than be a limited luxury label.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Kim for further comment.

The reports of her new intimates and shapewear line comes hot on the heels of news that all Dash stores will be closing.

Kim shared the retail venture with her sister Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.

The other half of Kanye West announced the ‘bittersweet’ news on her website on Thursday following speculation that the trio were closing the business.

‘After nearly 12 years, my sisters and I have decided to close the doors of our DASH stores.’ the statement on Kimkardashianwest.com read.

‘We opened our first store as a family in 2006 and, since then, we have made so many lifelong memories. From opening locations in Los Angeles, Miami and New York, to having our ‘Dash Dolls’ spin-off show, it’s been such a huge part of our lives.

‘We’ve loved running DASH, but in the last few years, we’ve all grown so much individually. We’ve been busy running our own brands, as well as being moms and balancing work with our families. We know in our hearts that it’s time to move on. We love our DASH Dolls and are so grateful for the amazing memories.

Concluding the statement, Kim wrote: ‘And we have to give a special thanks to the DASH employees and all of the incredible fans and customers who have supported us throughout the years! We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to everyone!’

Rumours emerged this week that the trio were planning to shut shop because the stores were ‘bleeding money’.

RadarOnline also obtained an email from a company executive addressed to vendors informing them of the plan to cease operations on May 31.

It read: ‘The girls, Kim, Khloe & Kourtney have decided to close Dash as it is time to renew our leases but we cannot commit to another five years. With that being said, operations will end May 31st.’

DASH – which launched in 2006 – has been regularly featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and was even the subject of a spin off show, Dash Dolls, which focused on store employees but wasn’t successful.

Meanwhile, Kim has appeared to reconcile with her former assistant Stephanie Shepherd, months after they fell out over professional differences.

Having worked for the star since 2013, Stephanie fell out with her ex-boss last year when she was made COO of Kim’s company, KKW, but was fired shortly after the promotion – leading to the alleged bad blood between the former friends.

Despite this, Stephanie is best pals with Kim’s sister Kourtney – leading to her appearance at the star’s 39th birthday on Thursday evening, during which she stunned fans when she posed amicably with her ex-boss.
