On how losing Sarah has changed her perspective, Kimberley told The Sun‘Just be grateful for what you have while you’ve got it,’ she replies.

She also said of her relationship with her Girls Aloud bandmates: ‘Obviously with everything that’s happened, we’re really as tight as we’ve ever been at the moment. You just have to lean on each other, don’t you?’

Cheryl and Nadine in particular have been long-time pals since appearing together in Girls Aloud, which was formed in 2002.

But the pair have previously caused confusion over their friendship, as reports have often circulated that they didn’t get on while in the band.

Nadine previously blamed the rest of the girls for splitting the band – and even insisted there was never any friendship with Cheryl.

Despite having been a bridesmaid at Cheryl’s wedding to footballer Ashley Cole in 2006- Nadine claimed they’d never been friends at all.

On Celebrity Juice in 2018, Nadine said: ‘There was no falling out, there was just no friendship to begin with.’

But later backtracking on this, Nadine claimed that she and Cheryl were firmly friends and always had been, and most recently went to see her perform in 2:22 A Ghost Story on The West End.

Elsewhere in the interview with the publication, Kimberley revealed that she had previously auditioned for Emmerdale but didn’t land the part.

Her younger sister Amy plays Tracy Metcalfe in the soap, and her big sister Sally was on Emmerdale as Lyn Hutchinson from 1997 to 2000.

Kimberley said of the soap producers: ‘They haven’t asked me [to be in Emmerdale]. I auditioned for it in the past, but they haven’t gone for the hat-trick.

‘It would be funny to go in for a couple of episodes, but that’s definitely Amy’s thing, and I’m happy to leave it to her. Any soap is just so full-on and a lifestyle choice, which I just can’t really do right now.’
