King Charles’ former equerry bounces back from cancer to witness his niece’s wedding
Mark Dyer was on top form at the weekend as he bounced back from cancer to see the wedding of his niece.
King Charles’s former equerry, whom Prince Harry regards as a mentor, attended the wedding of the classical soprano Alicia Lowes to record-breaking rower Alex Simpson in Monmouthshire.
Dyer, 55, was successfully treated for stomach cancer last year.
His son Jasper, who was a page boy at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, did the honours again on Saturday in front of guests including the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.
Former Welsh Guards officer Dyer is referred to as ‘Marko’ in Harry’s controversial memoirs, Spare.
