But Kirsten Dunst let her best pal Cindy McGee take centre stage on Saturday, as she took on the role of bridesmaid at her lavish wedding to pharmaceutical executive John Manieri in Rome, Italy.
The Drop Dead Gorgeous star, 35, was effortlessly elegant in a pastel pink gown as she excitedly walked down the aisle before the bride at the stunning monumental church of Sant’Ignazio, in the historical capital.

The actress was truly stunning in her pale pink bridesmaid’s dress, which featured a gorgeous ruched V-neck bodice, secured with thin spaghetti straps.
Cinching in at her slim waist, the gown then extended into a delicate tulle skirt, which softly skimmed the floor as she played her part in the ceremony, with a pretty bouquet of flowers in one hand.
Leaving her hair in loose, tousled waves and adding a matching pink lip, the blonde drew attention to her glowing complexion and beaming smile, as she supported her friend on her big day.

Kirsten first walked down the aisle ahead of the bride with one of the groomsmen, clad in a suave navy suit, before she was seen excitedly clapping Cindy and her new husband John Manieri, as they departed the church after tying the knot.
She then stood beside her best friend and fellow bridesmaids for a number of stunning shots – with the brunette stealing the show in her form-fitting white lace gown, as they posed against the city’s historical backdrop.
After the ceremony the guests, headed to the wedding party at the Villa Aurelia, which overlooks the beautiful Monte Mario view.

Kirsten’s parents also attended the wedding, as the two girls have been close friends since they were young.
In an interview with Elle earlier this month, the blonde admitted Cindy would pick her up every morning before school and give her breakfast, as she was afraid of driving in LA.
Explaining how important female friendships are to her, she told the magazine: ‘What I learned in high school is that female friendships are so much more important than worrying about having a boyfriend or looking good or things like that.’
Touching on her close bond with Cindy, she added: ‘I had such a good girlfriend growing up that we didn’t need anything. We had such a creative world of our own imagination together.’

The pair then became engaged in January this year, with Kirsten confessing soon after that it had been one of the most nerve-wracking moments of her life.
She told Jimmy Kimmel: ‘I was a little sick when [he proposed], which was funny! But that’s good. Sickness and in health, you know… I was in sweats.’
With wedding planning clearly in full-swing, the actress revealed earlier this month that she is currently designing her dress with her friends Laura and Kate Mulleavy – the founders of Rodarte.
