  • It features long sleeves, elasticated wrists, a collar and tiered skirt

Kmart has released a $25 gingham long-sleeved dress to herald in the new autumn/winter collection and it’s fast becoming a customer favourite.

The Long Sleeve Collared Tier Dress is currently being sold in a ‘red jam’ colourway and is still available in sizes ranging from six to 20.

It’s made from a high quality cotton and seersucker, textured fabric with buttons running down the front of it and a shorter, mini length to the hem.

It was only released in February but is already proving to be hugely popular on TikTok and Instagram.

One social media user, who uses the name @marziepan24 online, described it as the ‘perfect autumn dress’.

‘It’s $25, it’s all cotton. Are you ready,’ she asked. ‘I just think it’s so adorable.’

She did recommend those who try it on size up because the buttons around the top half of the dress cinch it in quite considerably. She also preferred the oversized look.

‘I am so stoked – $25 for a dress that looks like it is way more,’ she said.

Others have heaped praise on the low cost retailer and encouraged further designs to be made but on the midi side.

'I adore it! Wonder how it washes up? It already looks on the short side … My dryer will probably turn it into a tunic. Still need it,' one woman wrote

‘The checkered pattern on the dress itself reminds me of school uniforms although I realise its an in thing at the moment,’ said another.

A third added: ‘This looks so gorgeous’.
