One of the most iconic British TV games shows of yesteryear is coming back to ITV and ITVX this Christmas. 

After 18 years, darts-themed Bullseye has been given a brilliant 2024 makeover – with England cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff at the presenting helm and British teenage darts sensation Luke Littler making a very special guest appearance for this one-off Christmas special. 

With darts more popular than ever – thanks in part to 17-year-old Littler’s astonishing rise to the top of the game, fans of the sport can watch amateur teams battle it out in this festive season must-watch.

The show airs on ITV1 and ITVX at 6pm on December 22nd, making it the ideal show for gathering friends and family to enjoy a fresh take on a TV classic. 

So, grab the Christmas snacks, a tipple or two, and settle down to watch a gameshow masterpiece given a modern makeover – as darts enthusiasts taking part hope their skills with ‘the arrows’ will help them win big. 

The teams are made up of an amateur dart player, known as the ‘thrower’, and their team partner, the ’knower’ – and they must work together to be in with a chance of winning prizes.

It’s all to play for as they try and rack up as many points as possible, including throwing for that elusive Bullseye, with a studio audience watching on.  

Alongside skills on the board, the teams will also need to answer questions for ‘points and prizes’.

Cricketing ace Freddie says he’s delighted to be on board in bringing back one of the best loved shows of the 80s and 90s back to ITV1 and ITVX, for this very exciting one-off episode.

The sporting icon said: ‘I love the darts and Bullseye was one of my favourite shows as a kid. Can’t quite believe I’ll get to host this Christmas special. You can’t beat a bit of Bully!’
