The latest Koala collection marks a departure for Koala from adult mattresses and other furniture into children’s furniture.

The ‘Joey’ range features cots, beds and mattresses suitable for infants through to tweens, as well as a handle-less chest of drawers that has been designed to deter small ones from climbing up and crashing down.

It is all stylish, sustainable and made to be installed in minutes as opposed to hours.

The $799 Kookaburra cot, for instance, promises that it can be installed without any tools in under 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, the baby mattress is also built with parents in mind, thanks to its  removable, washable cover and water-resistant barrier.

There is a ‘bed’ that is adaptable over time, with adjustable leg height and a removable bedhead cover, plus optional guard rails for safety.

There’s also a chest of drawers without knobs or handles to deter little ones from climbing.

Everything meets the Red Nose Australia Safe Sleeping criteria, which helps to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and it’s also certified by the Infant and Nursery Products Association of Australia.

Prices start from just $99 for the guard rail and go up to $999 for the chest of drawers.

Koala has become synonymous with mattresses since it launched in 2015.

The company was so-named as the founders adopt a koala in partnership with Port Macquarie’s Koala Hospital for every mattress purchased.

While the friends hoped to raise $5million in the first year, they surpassed this hugely and turned over $13million.

Since then, In the space of just four years, BossHunting reports that Koala has serviced over 200,000 customers and is now valued at more than $150 million.
