She appeared on Loose Women on Monday, opening up about former boss Simon Cowell’s ‘nocturnal ways’ and odd timekeeping, claiming that he would keep X factor staff waiting ‘for hours’.
But it looked as though outspoken Konnie Huq had a change of heart as she stepped out on Tuesday evening to attend Jonathan Ross’ Halloween party in London.
The former children’s presenter, 42, stepped out in a mute Twitter costume, accompanied by her husband of eight years Charlie Brooker, who opted for a Super Mario ensemble.
Simon says shush? It looked as though outspoken Konnie Huq had a change of heart as she stepped out on Tuesday evening to attend Jonathan Ross’ Halloween party in London
Konnie, who was the longest-serving female presenter of Blue Peter, having presented it from 1 December 1997 until 23 January 2008, was seen in an all-black ensemble brandishing a large Twitter board.
She kept the rest of her look simple, besides painting a muzzle over her mouth, presumably signifying she was staying mute about something.
She was joined by husband Charlie, who she shares Covey, 5, and Huxley, 3, with, and he opted for a bright blue and red Super Mario costume, complete with coordinating cap.
The mother-of-two, who previously presented Xtra Factor in 2010, attended the star-studded party alongside the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Ed Sheeran.
Her appearance came after she spoke out in the midst of Simon Cowell’s health scare, admitting that he leads a nocturnal lifestyle which would see him show up to the ITV set after lunchtime.
Filling in for Richard Arnold, the former Blue Peter presenter took over the entertainment news reins on Monday’s Good Morning Britain as she sat alongside X Factor evictee Spencer Sutherland to discuss this weekend’s debut live show.

Discussing Simon’s recent collapse at his London home, Konnie weighed in on his terrifying incident and revealed that he usually stays awake all night.
As show host Susanna Reid commented at first that it wasn’t very ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ going for hot milk, she added that: ‘The thing is, he lives quite a nocturnal lifestyle, doesn’t he go to bed pretty much early morning?’
Answering her query, Konnie confirmed her suspicions and admitted that his sleep pattern would some times not see him on the X Factor set until lunchtime.
Konnie said: ‘He really does, sometimes at 4 o’clock (in the morning). Sometimes on set he won’t turn up until lunchtime and everybody is waiting for him to pitch up to start the show.’
Giving some backstage insight, the former children’s TV presenter admitted that he wanted to appear on the weekend’s debut show.
‘He really wanted to do the show on Saturday and knowing Simon Cowell, it would be hard to keep him away,’ she said. ‘The challenge is how channel bosses are going to deal with him.’
Her comments come after the music mogul had been going to get a cup of milk to help him sleep when he fell – leading him to be stretchered out of his home in a neck brace.
It is believed Simon was at home alone, as his girlfriend Lauren had been over in the US.

He was later rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for scans of his brain, neck, spine and back.
Simon was later discharged from the medical facility after getting an MRI and CT scan, making his way back to his house wearing a blood pressure monitor.
The Syco owner was then forced to pull out of The X Factor live shows this weekend, with Alesha Dixon taking his place on the panel.
Last minute: With Dermot (front) asking her how many hours notice she had, Alesha said: ‘About five! I was chilling out on the couch with my daughter and I got the call’
