A mother-of-two has showcased her incredible body transformation just nine months after giving birth to her daughter and revealed the ab circuit that she swears by for staying in shape.

Krystal Hipwell, a former Big Brother contestant who lives in Sydney, shared an image of her physique while pregnant and compared it with what she looks like today.

‘I’m still in disbelief that she has been earth side for the same amount of time she spent growing on the inside,’ the 32-year-old said of her little girl Nakoda.

‘Just a reminder that this is not a competition and everyone is running their own race and has their own goals and timelines in which they hope to achieve them by.’

Krystal’s love of fitness played a huge role in her wanting to feel and look her best, but she told her followers it didn’t happen overnight.

‘For anyone interested in how I went about getting back to my pre-baby body after my second child, I worked my absolute butt off and that’s the honest truth,’ she said.

What is Krystal Hipwell’s ab circuit?

I normally complete three rounds x 45 seconds of each of these exercises, with a 15 second rest in between (ensuring you swap sides with the side plank exercises).

*Mountain climbers

*Side planks

*Planks to side dips

*Plank with a shoulder extension

*Side plank with arm rotations

*Tabletop toe touches

‘I’d like to say that there was some secret or some gimmicky product (if there was I’d be selling it) but truthfully the only thing that has helped me get results is exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy diet.

‘Of course I splurge from time to time and there are days I sit on my butt, don’t get me wrong.

‘But more often than not I am sitting across the table from my husband eating my salad while my husband eats a whole pizza to himself and then ice cream and yes I sometimes want to stab him in the eyeball with my fork but that’s just life.

‘I have tried to be disciplined where I can. There are so many days where I have thought of 100 excuses why I can’t train and then I suck it up and just tell myself that “something is ALWAYS better than nothing”.

‘You have probably seen on my Instagram Stories sometimes I literally roll out of bed and train in my pyjamas in my lounge room in between feeding the kids breakfast.

‘If I have a busy day ahead I know that realistically doing a 20 minute circuit at home may be my only chance.

‘Some days I am not feeling it AT ALL but once I get moving I feel so much better. I find exercising makes me a better mum and an all-round happier person. It helps me sleep better at night and is amazing for dealing with anxiety.’

‘Although I was cleared from having diastasis recti (abdominal separation) I have been mindful of avoiding crunches and sit ups in order to avoid building excess abdominal pressure,’ she captioned a video of herself doing side planks and v-sits.

‘Since giving birth to my second child I have been focused on trying to rebuild my pelvic floor strength early on by ensuring that it is engaged throughout my workouts as well as in my every day life.

‘Also KEGELS, KEGELS, KEGELS! I cannot stress to you how much these have saved me this time around.

‘After my son almost four years ago now I completely neglected these because I was so immersed in ‘baby land’ that I forgot about myself.

‘Needless to say I suffered bladder leakage problems for nearly two years postpartum, now only five months after giving birth to my baby girl I can skip and jump without any issues.

‘There’s still room for improvement, particularly when it comes to my pelvic-floor endurance, but I have realised the importance of these exercises when comparing my recovery time after each of my babies.’
