Kurt Zouma ‘expected to leave Chelsea this summer’ after more than seven years at the club… with Jose Mourinho’s Roma ‘interested in a loan move’ for the French centre back
- Kurt Zouma is believed to be likely to leave Chelsea in this summer’s window
- Tottenham, Everton and Wolves are among the English clubs interested
- Jose Mourinho’s Roma are also reportedly keen but would prefer a loan move
- Zouma joined Chelsea in January 2014 for £12m from French side Saint-Etienne
Kurt Zouma is reportedly expected to leave Chelsea this summer, seven years after joining the west London club.
The 26-year-old joined the Blues in January 2014 for £12m from Saint-Etienne, and has spent loan spells away from the club at Stoke and Everton since then.
Zouma has been on international duty with France at Euro 2020, but his attention will now turn to his club future and a big decision could soon be made.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma side are believed to be interested in a loan move for the Frenchman
According to Julien Maynard, journalist for French publication Telefoot, Zouma is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he looks for a fresh start.
Wolves are believed to have been interested in signing the defender, but the Frenchman has declined their advances. Tottenham and Everton are among the other English clubs keeping tabs on the situation.
Jose Mourinho, now Roma’s new manager, is also reportedly keen on Zouma, but would be looking for a loan move.
The centre back did not play a single minute for France during their Euros campaign, but was on the bench for their group stage matches against Germany and Portugal.
Zouma was also in the squad for the last 16 match, as France crashed out on penalties to Switzerland after a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Last season, he started 15 of Chelsea’s first 17 Premier League matches, favoured by Frank Lampard in the early stages of the campaign.
But Zouma was a player not to benefit from Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, starting just seven league matches under the German.
The Chelsea boss admitted it was perhaps unfair on Zouma that he has placed so much more trust in Antonio Rudiger over the course of his time in charge at Stamford Bridge.
‘Since day one we chose [Rudiger] in the first match, it was an unfair decision against Kurt, but he is German and I had a clear picture of what he can do because I followed him a bit more than Kurt Zouma,’ Tuchel explained.
