Beale wore nothing but a pair of green and gold swimmers with what appears to be an Indigenous design.

To top it all off the Wallabies star posed with a celebratory beer in hand.

Prince William seemed to be enjoying the banter, posed happily with Beale.

The photo was uploaded with the caption: ‘When you rock up to the party feeling a little over dressed.’

Many commenters dubbed it the ‘photo of the year.’

All photos taken with Prince William on the night had to be approved by the royal family, so it seems Beale’s Instagram post was given the OK.
