Kyle and Jackie O have heated debate about whether Seinfeld or Friends is better – so where do you stand on it?

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had a heated debate on Friday about which classic American sitcom is better – Friends or Seinfeld.

The radio stars were discussing the shows to determine which one had superior picture quality with Kyle, 52, preferring Seinfeld and Jackie, 49, disagreeing with him.

‘Friends looks crystal clear, Seinfeld looks like it’s on VHS. Put up a still of both, I’ll show you and you will see the difference,’ she begin.

Jackie then found a still image from both shows and told Kyle it was obvious which show had superior picture quality.

‘Seinfeld is poor quality while Friends is crystal clear.’

Kyle, 52, then responded that it wasn’t a fair test because Friends premiered several years after Seinfeld, by which time video cameras had advanced.

‘You’re demented when it comes to Friends,’ the shock jock declared.

‘It came five years after Seinfeld which started in 1989 while the other started in 1994.’

Poll

Which show is better?

  • Seinfeld 1 votes
  • Friends 3 votes

Seinfeld and Friends are arguably the two most iconic sitcoms from the 90s and debates still rage to this day about which one was funnier.

Despite Jackie’s assertion that Friends looked better, both shows were shot on 35mm film so they have similar production values.

Although debates continue to this day over which series was superior they were actually quite different shows.

Friends explored the dating lives of six good-looking singles living in the same apartment building while Seinfeld focused on the misadventures of four anti-social and eccentric pals.
