Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been the victim of a theft in broad daylight during a call-in to the Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Australia’s top pollie called in for an impromptu chat on Wednesday, before host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson asked the PM if he wanted to take part in a game of Split or Steal.
‘Would a listener have the b***s to steal off our own Prime Minister?,” Jackie asked introducing the game.
The radio queen then went on to explain the rules to Albo, stating: ‘I’m going to tell you how it works Prime Minister. So two people, yourself included will both go off into a cone of silence,’ she began.
‘There’s $5000 and you can choose to split or steal. If both of you are true to your word, and you split the money, you get 2,500 grand each and you, Prime Minister can donate that money to whoever you want.’
Jackie continued: ‘If one person choses to steal the money and the other splits, the stealer gets $5,000 to themselves and if you both steal you get nothing.
‘So it’s kind of a game of trust and honour and dignity.’
Not missing a beat, Albo shot back: ‘That sounds just like politics.’

The PMs opponent, Richard, a father of two from Casula in south west Sydney who initially said he would split the money with the PM as it would help pay for daycare for his two kids.
‘If I split it with you $2,500 will pay pretty much a month worth of daycare – anything will help at the moment,’ Richard said.
Albo agreed revealing he would donate his half of the prizemoney to the Sydney-based Reverend Bill Cruise Foundation which provides assistance to help address the cause and effect of poverty.

Having agreed initially to split the cash, Albo was sent to the cone of silence before Richard pulled quite the fast one on the Labor leader.
‘I will easily steal this money right now,’ Richard admitted. ‘I’m locking it in.’
When Jackie asked about the charity that was about to miss out on $2,500, Richard was unmoved.
‘Who cares? I voted Liberal anyway,’ he said.
Fill-in co-host Cooper Johns then warned Richard to be on his toes after the high profile theft.
‘Richard, use the money wisely because you’re probably about to be deported,’ he joked.
Jackie replied with: ‘Now you can actually say you stole money from the PM and no one would probably believe that one.’
