Kyle Chalmers ‘is dating fellow Australian swimmer Emma McKeon’

Reports are swirling about the newest glamour couple to grace Australia’s elite swimming circuit – Kyle Chalmers, 22, and Emma McKeon, 27. 

According to Sunday’s Confidential, the young Olympians were first spotted looking ‘cosy’ in June while attending the 2021 Australian swimming trials in Adelaide together, and have since sparked a more serious romance.  

‘Confidential understands Chalmers, who this week debuted new peroxide hair, and McKeon saw their friendship turn into something more serious after competing together in numerous competitions,’ the report claims.

Most recently, the pair competed together at the International Swimming League in Naples, Italy, as part of the London Roar team. 

Emma and Kyle boast equally impressive sporting resumés – Emma won seven medals while competing at the Tokyo Olympics this year, while Kyle won gold at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.  

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to both Emma and Kyle’s representatives for comment.

Kyle’s rumoured new romance comes months after his split from fellow Australian swimmer and relay partner Madison Wilson, 26. 

Madison, who is also currently in Naples, started dating Kyle back in 2015 before calling it quits in 2017. 

They however rekindled their relationship not long after splitting, and continued to date up until 2021. 

More than teammates? Most recently, the pair competed together at the International Swimming League in Naples, Italy, as part of the London Roar team

In February, reports surfaced claiming the pair had ended their relationship but decided to remain friends.   

‘The break-up hasn’t been easy on Madi especially, but they are amicable and still talking,’ an insider told The Daily Telegraph on Sunday. 

The source also added that Madison’s recent Covid diagnosis has made life especially difficult for the young athlete. 

Madison, who is fully vaccinated, withdrew from the International Swim League competition last week as a result of the diagnosis.
