Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky ‘are in therapy SEPARATELY as they have no interest in couples counseling’ because they ‘need space’ to figure marriage out

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s separation continues to raise eyebrows, as they are reportedly not seeking couples’ therapy to work it out.

The estranged duo – who have ‘yet to consult lawyers’ after their July split – are seeking individual therapy during the difficult period, but are not engaging in any form of ‘marriage counseling or couple’s therapy,’ according to TMZ.

‘They just want space to explore individually,’ the outlet’s source added.

Although there’s no information on an official divorce, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars are reportedly keeping a reconciliation on the table.

‘Look, they may get back together, but they may not,’ the insider continued. ‘They just don’t know right now. They will decide at some point whether they stay married, but not now’.

If a divorce were to proceed, it could get messy, as it’s been reported that the couple have no prenup in place.

Although the duo might not be gearing up for a battle at this moment, Kyle, 54, recently referenced the split as a ‘divorce’ rather than a ‘separation’ during BravoCon just a few days ago.

‘I’ve gone through a lot this last year that does change you. Losing my best friend to suicide changed me. Going through my divorce, all that has made me stronger but it definitely changes you as a person. I feel good,’ she said at BravoCon according to TooFab.

Moments later, Kyle was brought to tears while discussing the split, as the star had to pause for a moment to collect her thoughts and wipe her eyes.

‘We love each other very much and we are family no matter what happens,’ she said, according to the outlet. ‘We’re trying to figure it out. We know we love each other.

Her voice cracked and the crowd began to chant her name, as she continued: ‘I just want to say, a lot of people think, “What are you doing? Fix everything.” Obviously, that’s what I would want. This is not my idea of my fairy tale, clearly.’

When asked if there’s ‘any chance for reconciliation’ between her and Umansky, 53, the Halloween star said she’s taking it ‘a day at a time.’

‘I’m grateful that we get along so well and love each other very much and we’re putting our family first,’ Kyle said. ‘We’re still living together under the same roof and I’m proud of the way that we are navigating through this. I just take it a day at a time.’
