Kyle Sandilands lashes out at KIIS FM producers after ’embarrassing’ Adele interview

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson enjoyed a chat with UK songstress Adele on Monday.

But on Tuesday, Sandilands, 50, revealed that there was some drama during their chat with the English hitmaker.

The shock jock went on a tirade about technical difficulties during the Zoom interview, blaming producers, PAs and even Adele herself for the gaffe.

Playing a behind-the-scenes clip of the interview, there was a noticeable echo on Kyle’s end of the line while he and co-host Jackie chatted to Adele.

Adele told the radio host, ‘You sound like you’ve got an alien voice.’

Eventually a producer was able to instruct Kyle to mute his end of the Zoom call, fixing the issue.

After the KIIS FM studio producer called the comedy of errors ’embarrassing’ on Tuesday, Kyle began blaming him, saying ‘Adam, it’s your fault!’

He then blamed producer Jaimee ‘Mayo’ Hassos, saying ‘Mayo, it’s your fault.’

‘It’s even Adele’s fault before it’s my fault,’ he joked, prompting Jackie to laugh.

‘What a nightmare,’ Kyle continued. ‘In the old days they’d just ring on the phone, you’d turn the phone line on, no echoing, no muting this bulls**t this and that.’

It comes after Adele and Jackie found common ground during the interview: their painful divorces.

The English songstress, 33, was a guest on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, and the pair quickly bonded over their break-ups.

Both women said it took ‘two years’ for them to get over their most recent splits.

Referring to the difficulty of her own divorce, Jackie asked the Skyfall singer: ‘It takes a long time to get to a good place. Did you find that, or did you snap back pretty quick?’

‘No, it took me two years,’ replied Adele.

‘It felt like the world was ending most of the time, even on a good day.’
