Kyle Sandilands reignites long-running feud with Australian Idol co-star Harry Connick Jnr: ‘This is behind the scenes gossip!’

Kyle Sandilands has reignited his feud with his former Australian Idol co-star Harry Connick Jr.

The shock jock, 52, took aim at the singer on Tuesday, while speaking with Idol alum Marcia Hines on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘It is great sitting beside you,’ Kyle told Marcia who’s set to rejoin the new series.

‘Even [fellow judge] Amy [Shark] said yesterday, this is gossip behind-the-scenes, it was something along the lines of, “Thank God Harry’s not here”‘.

Jackie appeared suspicious of what Amy supposedly said, much to the amusement of Kyle.

Kyle has had a long-running feud with Connick Jr. with the pair starring on the last season of Australian Idol together.

The pair traded barbs in March as they clashed over contestants, a common occurrence during the reality show.

Kyle insisted the singers should pick songs that viewers will love, Harry encouraged them to challenge themselves and take risks.

Kyle recently lifted the lid on his ‘feud’ with the American crooner while speaking to Daily Mail Australia.

He insisted the rivalry between the two was genuine.

‘It’s not bulls**t. There’s no drama really. It’s like, you know when someone just doesn’t like you, you can tell?’ he explained.

‘Maybe it’s because he doesn’t run around and praise me, which I don’t expect him to, like it’s tongue in cheek, but he’s at one end and I’m at the other.’

Sandilands insisted he doesn’t ‘hate’ the singer, but suggested that they aren’t close because they ‘don’t really get to spend a lot of time together’.
